Looking forward to riding it pretty soon now. Next target is 1000 Km
I wish you get to have your hands placed on the handles of your Ninja soon. Also, despite knowing that I am being redundant, I would like you to check out Black Ninja in the showroom for sure.

Take a personal loan of 2 lakhs, you'd get it for around 17-18% reducing rate p.a. Works out to close to 10% fixed rate p.a
The benefits here are:
1) tenure upto to 4 years meaning low EMI per month
2) Ability to close the loan after 6 months after paying 4% fore closure charges on the outstanding
3) No hypothecation of the bike
Also, on bike loans the interest is variable based upon the duration. For e.g BAL offers around 6% p.a for a tenure of 1 year.
Hope this was helpfulMumbai Roads = (NO parking + Pay and Parks) - (really really bad roads with pot holes)
The road tax I pay funds the people who tow away my vehicle, the money I pay the RTO to release my vehicle funds new no-parking boards!!!!
Some body needs to be terminated!!!!!!

@saravjit - the downpayment was 80,000, loan for 2 lakhs.
honestly i was expecting such a response from bajaj people, but then i guess i got lucky.
one interesting thing that i saw there was the 220 dyno install, which lets you take the bike to the top speed, now if only it would give the power and torque curves, and let me fit my R15 on it
My offerings to the gods of speed -
- KTM Duke 200
- Yamaha RXZ 5 speed

Thanks guys, if&when I decide to buy it, I will surely get into the details. Just wanted to get a rough idea. As of now I can understand something like 1 Lakh DP&7.5K EMI for 3 years for a loan amount of 2 Lakhs. Lets see how things work out over the next year.Originally posted by jd666 View Post@saravjit - the downpayment was 80,000, loan for 2 lakhs.

Even if you take a personal loan for 2 Lakhs for 36 months, your EMI will be 7.1K per monthOriginally posted by Sarvajit View PostAs of now I can understand something like 1 Lakh DP&7.5K EMI for 3 years for a loan amount of 2 Lakhs. Lets see how things work out over the next year.
So take a personal loan and pay the full amount and you can avoid "Hypothecation" entry in your RC

You mean take a vehicle loan from a bank personally? Coz 'personal loan' category attracts 18% p.a. interest in banks!Originally posted by Priyatam View PostEven if you take a personal loan for 2 Lakhs for 36 months, your EMI will be 7.1K per month

But when you are paying 7.5K EMI for 2 Lakhs for 36 months, the interest rate is 21%. At 18% you will just pay Rs.7,230/- per month. I took personal loan from HDFC at 17% interest rate.Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostYou mean take a vehicle loan from a bank personally? There is some confusion bro, we need to get the details clearly.Originally posted by Priyatam View PostBut when you are paying 7.5K EMI for 2 Lakhs for 36 months, the interest rate is 21%. At 18% you will just pay 7230K per month. I took personal loan from HDFC at 17% interest rate.
AFAIK vehicle loans interest rate is around 6.8% for one year, or 7.7% for 2 years&maybe more beyond. Though 13%, that is diminishing, which works out to some 7.8% flat rate.
Have a look at this site, it has a loan calculator: 13% diminishing works out to 7.1% flat! Loan EMI interest rate calculator | Calculate Loan EMI
Why bother-both of us are not buying now!
