If you are out of town that time, you can probably authorise someone else to book it for you. Not the best idea but doable. This is because once bookings reach a number, they start giving you time frames like 4 months and more which is not very pleasing for the ears/mind.

1) 1st service break-in ride: Bangalore-Chennai-Bangalore - 700km and then some in the city to reach 1000kms.

3) After my rpm restrictions are over, it is going to be Bangalore-Pune-Mumbai-Ahmedabad-Jaipur-Delhi and back! This can only happen if I get my bike before the first half of January so that the weather can allow me to ride such a long trip.

I booked 3rd in the whole of Mumbai I still have yet to get delivery
. The probiking Manager says it should come by next week

Sad part is I booked it on 10th october was th 3rd person to do so but still no Ninja . Just don't understand why they ae taking sooo long. Damn frustrating when I see in Delhi deliveries are being made, Kolkatta deliveries are being made, Chennai deliveries are made, Pune 2nd lot is also coming, Mumbai 1st lot has yet to arrive even spoke to the manager of operations (West Div) in bajaj, he said I should have the bike by wed, but still , the way things are going I doubt I'll have it by then It is seriously frustrating I've paid the entire amount , but still no delivery, this has been a very bad experience . Hope the bike is worth it. , Some one says something, the person above (in Designation) him completely says another thing , I don't know who to trust. Any xbhpians out there who have high connections please could you ask them why is this so with Mumbai and also Bangalore ?

Blame it on the Indian work culture - nothing moves fast unless there is a penalty or a binding compulsion to do so.
Case in point is the Bangalore probiking showroom - I had a look at the construction site almost ten days ago and then again around twenty minutes ago and nothing has progressed at all. The building is as I saw it then, with tiles lying around inside in the same position as last week. End of November is a very ambitious target...

Well, I am not really frustrated with Bajaj -after all, they are the only ones in the country to go through the effort of getting the Ninja through CKD and price it competitively. But efforts (on the probiking showroom) have to be made pretty quick to back up their good intentions...

@ Bluevolt: Right well thts there and cheers to them to get exciting new products, like 220 DTS-Fi , P200 etc. So I guess ur right tht not to blame it on the people but blame it on the system. Well then I'll wait what else can I do right ?? Hope some good news comes up tomorrow and as they say "I don't see why there should be any reason as to you not having the bike by WED" ...
. Good news is 3 green ninjas were underway last night from Pune and are heading towards Mumbai. Bad news is I've booked Black then also the insider guy said that 3 black ninjas will be dispatched by sunday morning. Lets jus see how things turn out... I hope I get my ninja by Thursday....

Regarding yours, if it comes in the next week, just look at the good side of it that you were among the top 5 guys who booked it and hence you are getting it 'relatively' soon.Comment

But dude few pages back u said u'd get the ninja by the last week of November, that was bad dude, now tht I saw you had posted 6 Nov,the bike may come I was really happy for you..... Also thanx for all the info you provided regarding the TRADE certificate that really cleared a lot of misunderstandings.

The trade certificate did delay things for Maharastra a bit. I was repeatedly told November end but I can attribute either to the color I chose or to some probable cancellation of bookings, or both for the expedited date. I shall celebrate when I have bike delivered to me...not before that. I am paranoid
