Dear that 1000 bucks includes the registration, tax and temporary number cost as mentioned in my post also.Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostThen what about tax? If it is 6K more than the showroom price, 5K for insurance&1K for registration&their commision...
BTW as written on the RC the tax is 500 bucks for a two wheeler here. One of the awesome feelings I had in my life is to see the world receding on my back mirror

I have lived in Chandigarh for more than three years, and it easily has the best standard of living in India. I say this with conviction, since I have pretty much travelled to more than 100 cities in India, apart from having stayed in many.Originally posted by ashutosh_x View PostI have started to regret that I dont live in Chandigarh
But when I was working there, I hardly had the money to buy an Activa (which I badly wanted at that time), leave alone a Ninja!
Chandigarh has the strictest traffic rules(or rather implementation) in the country and most of the cops are unlikely to be bought off by a hundred rupee note!

Yes, and for four wheelers its 2500 bucksOriginally posted by Sarvajit View PostYeah 15 years is called lifetime tax...but only Rs.500?
.
Saw the Ninja again today, the image on my desktop is nowhere closer to the actual beauty of the bike.
It is a full size sports bike, don't know but now I dont like my R15 as I used to like it before
, maybe due to the flamboyant lady in town.
The quality feels to be top notch. One of the awesome feelings I had in my life is to see the world receding on my back mirror

From the bookings that are now on, we have similar waiting periods for Pune also. Thankfully I have booked beforeOriginally posted by scilent killer View Postlolz....don't regret bro....

. But yes, you do have a valid point bro.
I know Chandigarh has been well maintained and stuff. Have you ever stayed in Ahmedabad? I have for pretty long and the city has no infrastructural problems whatsoever. Good roads, 365 X 24 hours electricity (literally) and intermittent water supply even in draught conditions. Awesome!Originally posted by bluevolt View PostI have lived in Chandigarh for more than three years, and it easily has the best standard of living in India. I am not sure what is the status of Ninja there though!

Just handed over the documents to the bank people...should get the santion by next week...They are saying that they are positive about getting the pbk guys to deliver in 45 days.....
This sounds too good to be true, as i had gone to the kanjurmarg pbk here last week and he was very circumspect about promising a delivery even within 4 months! The bank people are getting this deal from the other pbk and they say that since they deal with them a lot, they will get him to deliver within 45 days if i pay the complete downpayment in cash at the time of booking (about 150k).
I suspect they may be doing this just to get me to take the loan and start running the interest at the earliest possible date. I am afraid that once i accept the loan, they will forget the promises and i would have to wait for 3-4 months for delivery having paid the huge amount as downpayment. What's worse is that i won't be able to cancel booking.
Can somebody advice plz?
