The cancellations could have been in the wake of delayed deliveries rather than change of mind. Hence, I speculate that the cancellations should be of those bookings that were towards the end and were given 3-4 months waiting period. It is unlikely that cancellations will help us because we probably were in the second lot even without any cancellations.

Would it be possible to get the contact id of some one in bajaj sales dept? Would really help the Bangalore guys waiting for the showroom to open..

The Ninja 250R will only be available in Bangalore only after the probiking showroom opens in 3rd-4th week of November.

          • [QUOTE=ashutosh_x;315878]Cheers on that bro! It will be great to have the bikes in the same batch.
Mine is black and I hope they dont delay it because of it. So far they had been telling me that choosing the black must expedite the delivery and now what we hear is the contrast. This is sure a full blown high voltage drama going on! By the way..I havent received any call from the great Bajaj guys.

I also changed bike to black with the statement 'delivery would be quickier'

Yes..thats the way it is. As I had posted before too, when I had asked about what was going on in Bangalore, the PBK Pune guy had told me (on Oct 11) that it would take around 45 days for PBK setup to exist in Bangalore.

Will install myself. They are all simple to install on the bike.

                • I am also one of the victims of wrong information/delay in delivery from Bajaj. I made bookings on 12th October and was told that bike will get delivered with 7-10 days. Till date I am still waiting and dont have any commitment/surety of when I will be getting it. I thought that I will get bike on my birthday on 23rd but all the dreams and hopes were shattered. On daily basis I am hearing something new. Earlier I was told it was due to stock dispatch delay but if it was dispatched on 21st oct shouldn't it arrive by today?
I am really frustrated and disappointed by the ways things are happening. I am not buying any grocerries from sabjiwala. If I am shelling 3Lacs from my pocket so I expect some CLASS/COMMITMENT/SERVICE from BAJAJ. I am no more excited about getting the bike and it is all because of the kind of service I am getting.

I will wait for few more days and if this keeps happening I might think of dropping plan or escalating it!!!

                  • Mate...we are all in the same boat. If this sort of ambiguity continues it will turn into a PR disaster for Bajaj. The least they could have done is keep the bookings transparent.

It also could be that they did not expect the demand.... They need to understand that this is not the 70"s where one will wait for years to have the "privlege" of owning a Chetak

I totally understand your frustration mate!
I think this is for the first time Bajaj has ventured into importing stuff and delivering it after assembling and thus this seems to be a learning curve for them (assuming they are learning something from it).
I have a feeling that Bajaj was overly optimistic and was overestimating itself when it claimed - "bookings will begin in Diwali and people will get the bike this festive season". Almost no one has got the bike during Diwali and I think Bajaj meant Christmas when it said 'festive season' .

We are all hoping that the service provided by Bajaj for this bike is not similar to the delivery process.
You have waited for some time and I think you must wait a bit more to get yours. In the case of people like Ninja_1 and I, we have been told to wait for about 6-7 weeks. You are still in a better position so you could probably see the brighter side of it.

                      • well guys in case of maruti dezire and toyota fortuner people can wait for 5-6 months for delivery.they are even made to wait for booking(may be publicity stunt).so in this case of ninja waiting 45 or 90 days is all worth it....

                        • ninja is worth

irrespective of all the waiting n pricing factors the bike is worth...
i saw the bike for the first time on the last g2g...the looks r incomparable (in its segment)..thought the number plate is degrading but "daag to chand par bhi hai, par phir bhi uski khubsurti mai koi kami to nahi"....

because of the Indian road rules there is a front number plate denting the beauty of the beast...then what's the big deal in the sari guard....
