@Ace: There is no blue color for the Ninja 250R available in India, officially. Kawasaki has only launched the Lime Green and the Ebony Black color in India.:)Comment

Just got a call from Bajaj sales guys. MY bike is in the second lot and have jsut come in from Thailand and deliveries will be mid November. MOre green Ninja's than black so the wait for black is a bit longer. There have been cancellations so hopefully we guys get bumped up the list. According to him, if you book in Pune now, you will get delivery around March/April 2010.
Ashutosh : I guess we will get the bike around he same time

My bike is being registered today and I will be picking it up sometime in the next few days. Could someone please enlighten me with the type of fuel the Ninja can drink? I know that high octane is good, but what if can't get something like Speed 97 and I'm forced to take Speed? Will this be manageable or is it quite unacceptable?Comment

@xinfii: With a compression ratio of 11.6:1, I don't believe that 'Speed 97' is necessary. xTra Premium 91 octane petrol should do it.

Mine is black and I hope they dont delay it because of it. So far they had been telling me that choosing the black must expedite the delivery and now what we hear is the contrast. This is sure a full blown high voltage drama going on! By the way..I havent received any call from the great Bajaj guys.

I called up in pune PBK. He asked for some time to find out the details and later called me up confirming that I was also in the second lot and hence the deliveries will be made around November end.
Thus, if we consider the average of what was told to Ninja_1 and I, it comes to about 3rd week of November

Mine is black too...I think I got a call because I sent a mail to a senior guy in Bajaj which is why the sales manager for this area called and clarified the issue of how allotment is made. The probiking guys as usual gave me incorrect information and this guy clairified it. Surprisingly there have been some cancellations also.
