  • Ninja brought home

Brought my Ninja home today in the midst of most horrible weather conditions . It rained cats and dogs all the way with freezing cold wind!

Apart from the reviews given by our dear fellows, I could analyse how Ninja behaved in wet roads and in torrential rains. It was impeccable in terms of control and at no point of time I actually felt I was riding on slippery road.

The bike is totally wet right now resting in my parking lot. Will snap it tomorrow or whenever the weather is good and share the pics.

        • Congrats buddy! Happy for you, finally got your hands on the Ninja 250R. I checked xbhp today a few times to see whether you posted your 'got it' update yet

Bangalore is raining too - I flew in from Delhi this noon (which also saw some showers in some areas yesterday). Hope it doesn't rain when I get my bike.

Dry your bike, and go all snappy-snap tommorow - post your pics soon! As for me, I'm heading for a 5k run right now and burn some fat and 'no-Ninja-for-me-yet' frustration!

          Best,

          • @ashutosh x - mate can you check the rear light and tell if there is any ingestion of water??? the panel gap between the tail light and the rear fairing was quite a bit on the bikes that i saw.

And how much muck did the rear tyre splash up around the inside and the swingarm/silencer etc??? Would a hugger be better?

                Best,
Thanks brother . I would have posted it much before but I had a hard time with loads of traffic due to too much rain here today. By the time I got home, I was all drenched from top to bottom.
It never rains in Pune in this part of the year but I was destined to have rains when I pick up my bike and hence it happened so .

5 K run sounds like a marathon! How much do you weigh? Has your waistline increased? Just wondering.

I shall have a closer look at those things tomorrow as by the time I got back to my parking lot, it was pretty dark and I had gotten fairly disoriented due to getting drenched in rain plus with freezing cold wind hitting me all through the way. Will update you about that buddy.

Man, if it starts raining when I get my delivery, I would wait till the rain stops - I don't care if it turns midnight! I like rain, but not the unseasonal ones. The out of season ones carry a lot of dirt/dust and leave dust marks on the paint. That can be cleaned later, but I don't like to go through the trouble.

Just came back from my 5k run...I weight around 70kg at 5'10'' with a 30 waist. I like to keep fit as I truly believe it makes me a better motorcyclist. I hit the gym too every now and often, and it has helped me to ride 10-11 hours non-stop without any discomfort whatsoever. The Ninja has a slightly forward biased position, so I would have to work on my upper/lower back, neck and deltoids if I want to go touring long distance after I get the Ninja.

For me, the bike service center was to close at 6 pm and I had gotten out of my office earlier to pick up the bike. The scanty drizzling turned into full fledged rain and I couldnt have postponed the picking up process to a later day as it would again compel me to get out of the office earlier. Hence, I had to get over my irritation and do the process.

I am similar to you, 5'10", waist size around 31" and weight ranging 72-74. I agree one has to work on the back for riding bike long distances as it does have a forward biased seating position for the rider.
I too hit the gym 4 days a week (I have been lazy exercising the back so far though and I have to change that). Besides that, I run/walk fast on treadmill for 1 km for 6 days a week.
I guess I will have to work on my back more.

Also, I want to put more grip on the handles as I find them too thin to hold comfortably. I think trying to hold on thin handles is straining for the palms.

Yes, I didnt feel the chill and cold due to the excitement but I did feel the too much traffic on the road making it tough for me to cruise through!

Thanks for the wishes though mate!

Yes, and as I keep repeating, the black looks awesome in flesh. Much better than what it appears in pics Believe me on that folks

Thanks a lot amit . From what has been told to me and from our fellow members, I think around 10 Ninjas have been delivered in Pune so far and 2 were kept packed in the service center today (Recently arrived ones). From that you can probably guess that you might have to wait for some more time.
November end might see 8 odd deliveries and if my guess is not too wrong, then you should get yours in December last week or so. Keep patience till then bro.

Do you wear gloves? If not, you can first try riding with proper leather riding gloves before getting a handle wrap...
