Tomorrow I have to disappear from my office at 10 AM.

    See you there.....
Oh no! I really cant make it there at that time! You guys think the bookings will start immediately?

The ORP however has worked out to be less than the estimated, INR 3,04,735/-.
News regarding service @ Knivaraj, is this confirmed? If it is true, you guys think it is worth being brave to book the bike?

      • Bookings are going as we speak. Gorbi is #1 in booking, followed by startrek and then me. SreehariR1 is #7 or so. I think they will book 20 or more bikes within today itself! Onroad price is Rs. 304,735.

Service will be done at Khivraj...

BTW, whenevre you guys aren't too busy, can you let us know if/when they will start servicing other bajaj bikes?

            • The whole booking process was managed very professionally by Janaki, who is the manager for the new Probiking showroom. People were called in order of the time they arrived - so Gorbi's mother (Ma ho to aisi!) who had arrived from Mysore at 08:30am was the first, then followed by Startrek, who came in after her. I arrived at 09:40am, so I was the third! The showroom officially opens next week, but the bookings have started in advance - I expect many bikes to be booked within today itself!

I paid the entire amount in cash upfront, so I have also signed on registration related documents too along with address proof and three photographs. That way, when the bike comes, I just have to go collect it without any further formalities.

I am concerned about Khivraj doing the service, but I will grin and bear it for the first service, and then for the second service I will probably be in Mumbai or Pune area touring, so I will get it done there. The 3rd interval is 12,000 kms, so that's too far off to worry about. Probably will go to Chennai when that happens.

The whole 'quota' thing is unofficial, and the delivery time being quoted is 135 days, though people might get their bikes much sooner. I paid the whole amount upfront in hope that my delivery happens sooner -

And oh yes, I booked the Green! Now I am off to Oz for 10 days, without worrying about the bookings...

Nice meeting up with you Startrek. Funny that we work in the same office complex and never met before. I guess these days offline is closer than online

                  • Just a FYI, the number of the new showroom is 080-41657777 and the manager there is Janaki ram. He used to manage the Mumbai Kanjurmarg showroom before, and has recently been transferred.

Thanks.. I really love my mother(and father also as both are paying for it). Morever she told me to get Ninja not Karizma ZMR. She loved Ninja at the first sight. She hated ZMR.

Even we thought of paying almost entire amount around 2.5 lakhs not full. But I didn't do it as I'm getting around Rs1.5k+ per month as interest from bank. Rs1.5k per month is pretty much tempting for me (One PC game per month is amazing)

                          • Man, at this rate, it should end up at 25 bikes on the first day! And this is before the showroom has 'officially' opened...

Great stuff done! Congrats in advance. I wonder if paying up the whole amount up front would help but since you have booked it much earlier, I am hoping that you will get your bike very soon.
