I dont want to take the pains of going all the way to Kothrud to get the chain lubricated. Can anyone tell me where can I get a chain oil/spray in 'this' part of pune? (this = Kalyani nagar, Viman nagar, Nagar road, Yerwada, Vishrantwadi and around).

Ashutosh..dream bikes. went there on friday. According to harpreet, no need to put oil bit spray the cleaner and then spray the lubricant. Each can costs 450 bucks. He has some nice tank guards too.

Thanks bro. Even I ended up calling him last evening and he told me the same thing.
It will surely be easy to apply a spray rather than oil on the chain. This spray is for all kinds of chains, including the o-ring chain that Ninja has got. I plan to buy that soon. It will be good to buy a tank guard as well.

              • All right guys,am all set to pay for the ninja this week, but before that things I would like to know...

                1) What's the engine oil grade is recommended? Can I use Motul 15w50 Full synthetic oil as am using on my Pulsar 220?
2)How much oil is needed? and the changeing interval?
3)How's the bajaj service quality you guys experienced so far?
4)suggest me what are the chain cleaners and chain lubricants should I buy for Ninja(plz see my previous post on this)
6)Is it advisable to purchase the rear seat cowl for extra 5000 ?
7)Doe's they deliver it direct from the crate or they bring it to showroom for delivery from other parts of the town by riding the bike by some mechanics(like other bikes nd the worst part cause have seen the way they ride the bikes !!)

Here are some of the answers I know.
                  1. Castrol oil is used. I have no clue of the spec. First change in 1000. Then in multiples of 12,000. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
                  2. First service in 1000. Then in multiples of 6,000.
                  3. Bajaj service is decent so far. All they have done is an oil change. So I can't comment much on that. But the hospitality levels were good.
                  4. I use the OKS chain lube used in Probiking. Its good, AFAIK.
                  5. Rear seat cowl is a matter of personal choice. No alternative to the price though.
                  6. Delivery is not from a crate. And even if its ripped a little before delivery, it shouldn't matter much. Look at it more practically. Bajaj is doing a tough job of making the bike a practical possibility for Indians. Bothering about smaller things will only make us feel bad. More so, we really don't have a control over such things.

I was present to see my bike getting out of the crate. They just tightened mirrors, filled petrol and air, wiped the bike and handed delivery to me. This is the procedure followed at least in Pune PBK. I also saw couple of other ninjas getting ready for delivery straight out of crate.

However, you have to understand that Pune guys did not get delivery in PBK showroom. The delivery was made in workshop.

                        Thanks mate !
yeah it is but since the footage was shot on a handheld Digi cam and not on proper cam mounts it makes for a pretty amaeteur clip ( as seen in the mixed vid too)
You wouldnt really enjoy the non edited clips much as half of the time the camera doesnt even focus well.

                        • I went yesterday to the new Indiranagar PBK...those guys have both colors of the Ninja hidden inside the showroom. From the road all that can be seen is a vertically-hung P220.

                          The ninja is TASTY!!!!

Too bad its out of my budget for now...
But I can definitely use the tires. The Ninja rear is IRC 130/70, should fit on a P200.

I booked on the 15th and they said i will have to wait till the last week of December. They always promise to call back but they never do hahahahahaha. I am getting impatient.
                              @Ashutosh, Any idea brother?
