Thats right. The first service is at about 1000 km and first break in ends at 800. I have, however got mine serviced at 700 km and instead of the stipulated 6000 km for the 2nd service, i would get it done at 5700 kmOriginally posted by anil14975 View Post

PBK service guys have also told me that despite having completed about 750 km so far, I can race the bike ahead of 4000 RPM engine speed without hesitating.

Protective Gear
Guys..
Need your advice on Protective Gear... I checked some at the Orion outlet in Koramangala, Bangalore.
They have Alpinestar Leather Jackets worth 10k and Planet DSG mesh Jackets around 6.5k..
Although the Leather jackets looked gr8... but I am worried
if they would suit Bangalore weather, especially afternoons.
Another thing... is it better to buy the Alpinstar here or ask my friend to bring it from the US.Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTS-i (2003)

However the DSG ones also have protection ,so they save you in a crash.
Its always better to have gear that would save you in a crash.
IF you are getting stuff from the US then i'd suggest you get good ones that have protection.

Whatever you go for, make sure it has CE approved protectors on shoulders, elbow&back. Material&fit are personal choice. DSG/Cramster both have them.Quench my thirst with gasoline!Comment

Consider buying Knee protectors as well. They are very useful. You can consider buying Textile jackets and not the leather ones (Alpinestar or DSG) so that they wont fry you in the heat and will be water resistant.Originally posted by killers_instinct View PostGuys..

I'm getting delivery tomorrow itself...... I called up and confirmed it. I'll take delivery before 12noon tomorrow... But the problem is I don't know the roads in B'lore.. Thats whats worrying me...Comment
