Yes, just had a word with Born2Lead. He sounded excited. He has booked the Ninja 250R; probably the first Delhi xBhpian to do so!

@B2L: I don't want no laddus. All I want is the honor of an exclusive photo-shoot one early morning, after you get the mean green machine.

And yes, lest I forget, CONGRATULATIONS for booking the bike, for which, I have seen you being frustrated, happy, sad, and everything else in between, for months now. I am really happy for you. The wait, I am sure, has been really-really worth it.

Might I suggest picking it up from Chennai?
What about the road tax and insurance process? How do we do it,in case we take it from Chennai.. Also what about the first few free servicing aspect? I guess it would be better to wait..

Two months?!! How sad is that... I don't have any qualms picking it up from Chennai, except that I might be harrassed by the traffic cops each time I ride because of out-of-state registration... This sucks big time!
Thanks for the info, though. What you said about the showroom make sense. That is why no probiking store is listed for Bangalore on the BAL website...

You are absolutely right on traffic cops harrassing when you ride/drive a vehicle with out of state registration. Be it Bangalore or be it Pune where the nuisance sometimes is even more than Bangalore.
I would suggest you wait for couple of months instead of getting it from another state. Having said that, I fully understand how frustrating it would be doing so.

Don't fret so much, simple solution is buy the bike in Chennai and tell them you only want to take it on Temp. registration and temp. tax as the final registion will be done @ Bangalore.

You just need to pay for one months Temp. registration and pay one month worth of road tax. Get the bike down to Bangalore, get it Perm. registered over and pay the life-time road tax for Bangalore. And ride happily ever after ... ....but not without letting me have a spin on ur ride first!

@Imran: CONGRATS on joining the league of mean green gentlemen!

I'm not sure but you can check in Siliguri else Kolkata will be the best bet.

Thanks! - that is a pretty cool suggestion, but as soon as I hit the initial periodic service intervals (which will be pretty soon), I would have no choice but to take it to Chennai for servicing. And I will have to ride at 55kmph as it will be in its run-in period - it will take forever to reach Chennai, not to mention costs incurred in doing this ...
I guess I will be a good boy and wait for it to formally launch in Bangalore! I have an overseas trip coming up next month at work, so I will probably buy a Yoshi muffler beforehand and fit it as soon as I buy my bike!

I don't know but even if the booking has not started in Kolkata it should start very soon maybe in 2-3days.
I'm not sure why you want to book it from Pune.Firstly it doesn't sound logical, next how will you transport the bike? What about registration and all?
