Its not about the money in the pocket but about the CHAHAT in Heart. I have been saving to go for a bigger machine (600cc or so). Even once thought of R1 or Busa but had to decide against them as it would be my first Sportsbike (although I ride Yamaha 350CC in Delhi).Originally posted by tanay View Post

sorry dont remember exactly. Bandhav would be the right person to answer this.
the need..
Actually the impose on taxes in these cities are for good purpose only...They don't have good roads, so they do increase in tax preventing the people to buy premium bikes & avoiding the damage to your rideOriginally posted by dka View PostIt seems that people living in BLR, PUNE should file a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) regarding Taxes asking them to provide good roads or stop charging hefty amount as taxes.

Hmmm..Y you astonish for this itself ? You are gonna get HONDA CB 1000 R na?Originally posted by ACE_HUNTER View PostAdd chennai also

The increase in performance is directly proportional to the size of the hole in your pocket :D

There is only one Bajaj Probiking showroom in Kolkata and its at Park Street near Asiatic Society. But be very alert while taking the delivery and at the time of service. Kolkata PBK people are big time cheats and the mechanics are the last people pn earth whom you want to touck your bike. I know these guys in and out. They have got a sound thrashing from me a number of times. Be alert
You can take the ride away from me but you cannot take the rider out of my soul.........

Today a drama happened in probiking kolkata. People gathered to see the green ninja. Everyone was like OMG!!! What a bike!!!
Probiking guys were also feeling proud.
That's when Fireblah with his CBR1000RR and the owner of CBR600RR with his beast arrived at the scene.
Just imagine. All attention shifted towards outside the showroom, where these beasts were parked. Crowd came out of the showroom to have a look at these two. Even the probiking guys came to look at these two beasts. A guy came to look at the bike with his cute gf.
His gf was like chuck that ninja, get one of this.
P.S - Please no more discussion on this.

Lol! If I was 21 and fresh out of college or into my first job when the Ninja 250 came out, I would be very frustrated! When I was 21, I used to travel in rickety DTC buses in Delhi and wistfully look out of the windows at the Hero Honda CBZ's passing by and think - 'I wish I had Rs.50,000 to buy one of those cool bikes.'Originally posted by tanay View PostRandom Rant : What jobs do you all do to have saved up more than 3L?
But I am now 31 and have worked for more than 10 years, so finally I can start affording the things which I had always wanted to buy when I was 21...so is life if you aren't born rich

Mubarak ho imran bhai,u finally got the bike u wished ;-) cheers
Well it would surely be an exhilarating experience to unleash all its(ninja 250r) 33 horses on BANDRA-WORLI SEA LINK ,,but heck they dont allow the bikers ,even when they are running low on daily toll collections :-(Never heard a music more soulful than that of a superbike machine

Brake Fluid
I was quite surprised to hear that the bike will be a complete kit with zero localisation, and actually expected Bajaj to be using generic parts like levers, switches etc.
But the biggest shock of my life was seeing them use DOT3 brake fluid in the ninja. I don't think that kawasaki has used anything less than DOT4 anywhere else in the world. Flushing AND changing brake fluid is a pain because mixing fluid types can cause issues, so we have to be extra careful to make sure every last trace of DOT3 is out of the system when switching to DOT4. Mostly best achieved by first flushing, then filling with DOT4, then flushing again and refilling DOT4 followed by bleeding. Hope Bajaj switches to DOT4 permanently. I have used castrol DOT4 and recently TVS-Girling DOT4 on my rtr fi and they were both good. Tried kbx DOT4 on a friend's cbz last month and it was crap.
