      • Ninja 250 is an amazing machine no talks about it but I wonder why are the manufacturers getting in their sports bike to India compared to their dual-purpose machines. To me dual purpose bikes like the Kawasaki KLX 250, honda's xl125v varadero, or the yamahawr250x fits the bill fantastically in India, since most of us use it for both touring and city commuting. Also, these bikes have amazing off-roading skills.

Anyways I am happy that we have some thing to cheer for now, hope we get some great dual-purpose bikes soon.

I was told that Pune exshowrrom would be least but due to taxes it would shoot up quite a bit.

I will land back in Delhi on 24th. Even I was expecting the price to be on the higher side of 2.9.
I'd rather be riding my motorcycle thinking about God than sitting in church thinking about my motorcycle.

24th!? Damn! And here we were thinking of having a grand G2G, what with you getting the Ninja 250R and MG landing in Delhi for a few days! Nevermind, after you come back, it would be due.

As for 2.80 lakhs being the on-road price in Delhi, you are saving 10k atleast, which means:
              1. A new green lid
              2. A new pair of green gloves

And we can get a nice green jacket later!
              :)

Check any of the ninja 250 forums hosted in US, threads discussing this exists there. I'd guess 87 octane should do fine. Of couse 93 octane will obviously be better.
I am not very well versed with the octane number vis-a-vis the compression ratio, but I'd guess 97 octane will be an overkill !!
Hmm.., I think you are right. It is mentioned before by Akhil bro that, compression ratio is a factor in determining fuel type, but are other factors too. For example, the fuel map being one of them.

Nice nice...congratulations! Look forward to the pics and first ride report soon. I think you are the first xbhp member to book the 250R -great! And the price is amazing for Delhi - in Bangalore, it should be at least 25000-30000 more expensive

Three cheers for the first 250R on xbhp!!

Question: How is the 10,000 split between road tax, insurance and registration?
