dude you dint understand what i said, that Honda VTR 250 is easier to manufacture (less R&D) and also sells for less than ninja in uk & weighs 139kg only!
It is relatively very easy to source an existing engine into a trellis frame for a superior handling bike, so if hero honda ports ZMA engine or bajaj ports a pulsar 220cc engine into a trellis frame, the result would be much more smiles per miles than just supersport 250cc bikes.
Folks, for 250cc bikes to go 'mainstream', they need to be usable for commute (read comfort and mileage) and i guess porting existing 220+cc engines to modern bike frames would do more goodness than straight away stepping up for sport configurations.

spoke to one of my mates from work .. he has a brother working with bajaj ... the fresh news out is ..
the bike is to be priced approx 1.7L .. and the launce is on 5th or the 6th ..
i hope this news helps jus doing my part as a xBhPian
