Booked the Green Beast ... but

Today did the booking of the baby at around 12:30PM in Pune PBK. I was the 25th person. The delivery time given is 3 months !!!!!

Green dream come true.... Yes its the Ninja

After lot of wait and anticipation, finally the Ninja was launched.
Background - Last month my car's (Accent) all EMI were paid off and I started looking for a bike. I was waiting for the Ninja for a long time but did'nt see it coming. In Sep I was planning to buy R15 or P220 but after hearing new ZMA news, thought of waiting for it till Diwali. In the mean time the green monster got launched. I had prepared my mind for 2L on road but after seeing the price of 3L,

I thought let me buy 2 bikes instead; but Bullet classic EFI (still to be launched) and either p220/R15/ZMR. After visting the showroom and seeing the bike, it was difficult to resist, so decided to give Ninja a shot. I said shot because;

Conflict/Objection Management:-
Wife- She was cribbing for a new "Chevy Spark" for last 5-6 months and I always avoided her giving reasons. After hearing 3L she was shocked and seeing my interest in spending 3L, her nag for new car became very prominent. Finally after a weeks efforts, she said "kind of OK"

but half heartedly
Son- 3.5 years old, beleive it or not "Rossi and Yamaha" fan. He said "Baba (father) we will buy Yamaha

Finally took them both to the Pune PBK showroom and showed them the baby Ninja in flesh. After seeing the bike I didn't need any efforts to convince them as they said "YES" and my son chose the GREEN color

Result: Booked the Ninja at 12:30PM today

paying 40K as booking amount. "LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL"

Downside: The sales person told it will take 3 months for delivery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my god... so many sleepless nights and start dreaming again

touring and ninja 250

hi guys, it seems that the seating posture of nj 250, is for fast short rides and not for long rides. i think the riding posture has a lot to do to classify the bike for long rides. so where does the nj-250 stand ?

I think this issue with the bike is a roumer and if not then may be the real owner and first owner of the bike may put some high beam on this topic if he is not too busy enjoying the great time and pride

and personally what I can guess after seeing the pics of the beast is that the front seat as well as the rear seats are very comfortable and i think the riding hight and the position is looking good enough but thats all judgment the real mestry can be solved after riding it i am going to book as soon as bookking starts in my town so either wait for 2 months or we can ask B2L

use frame sliders in case of an unintentional crash or tip over....does adding a frme slider devoid you of the 24 month warranty??...and one serious question brothers...arent these 1000 bikes the old color scheme which bajaj had imported last diwali??because the black/white/gren combo is available for international markets and here we only get the sloid green or black bikes....its the same with yamaha with the R1 that many people dont know that(even the yam guys in the showroom!!)there is no black color for 2008 R1's and instead they have the carbon grey black(well i dont know the combo but the RTR carbon color) for 2008..so all those who bought the blacks this year or last year were actually buying 2007 made bikes!!...isnt this the same being done with the Ninja 250 now???isn't this actually like a stock clearence sale....but yeah good clothes..!

Congrats! well 25th booking and delivery in 3 months..? i was told there was a limit of 20 bikes for Pune and any booking after that would have a waiting period of 5 months! But hope you get your bike soon cause that way id be getting mine sooner!

I can understand what you must have gone through while convincing your wife and kid.. and how easier it must have been after they saw the machine in flesh... Hearty congrats for owning the beast and yes.. Let the good times Roll..

@dreamchaser The colour scheme which you told (black/white/green) is 2009 limited edition which is not available now. 2010 version is the one available here in India with green rear seat and blank silencer, which is not yet released in some countries......
