But did you happen to read the news on Times Of India a couple of months back, it said that the bikes from outside Karnataka registration need not pay the road tax again here. So you can workout either way.
Might be Blue Volt can comment on this as he is hunting for Ninja outside Blr.Thanks Guys,Originally posted by bluevolt View PostIf I heard Bandhav yesterday correctly at the Delhi PBK, he said that the low fuel indicator comes on when the fuel tank level falls below 4 litres. So that's more than enough time to give your thirsty bike a drink before she faints!
Well, I have been riding a Royal Enfield with a Haryana registration in Bangalore for the last four years and I have never got stopped by a cop for that - though I have been challaned for wrong parking in busy markets and stuff like that. I have no hassles buying a Ninja from Pune, the only thing is since there is no PBK showroom in Bangalore, I have to ride down to chennai for the first two services, which will be a pain.
Though I have heard about the entry tax thing in Bangalore, it is still pretty ambigious... But what Reuterian has suggested is the thing to do if you want to ride your Bike in Bangalore tension free, with a KA license plate!
This piece was informative, however the suggestion to ride back to blore and register looks ok to me as if i would need to get it registered in Pune, legally i cannot as i donot have any documents for residence proof ect in PUne. Will figure out and update incase i get further info
Cheers

PBK Pune has total 27 confirmed bookings till date and now if you go for booking, the expected wait is ..... 4 months. I have booked mine on 8th and hope to get it delivered by 23rd or 24th of this month.Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

Maharashtra had elections but not all states had them so the deliveries in Maharashtra got delayed. Also now the RTO will be closed for 3 days due to Diwali.Originally posted by glogold View PostWhy these guys are taking so much time ? Launch hi nahi karne ka tha
Also it is a way of creating more hype about the product. How would you feel if you can walk into a store and pickup one bike (may be on a discount)?
It makes me extremely happy and massages my ego that I will be driving a bike which not many in my city own. That is what premium products are.
I agree with you that after the initial launch, the delivery date is too long but that's the price you pay or opt for something else (like what?)Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

Well, think of me - 45-60 days just for the Bangalore PBK to open and add another couple of months from that day to delivery. I would miss the riding season completely!Originally posted by Aryan View PostA waiting period of 45 days is really LONG! I can't even imagine waiting for that long, and thinking each day about the 250R and having sleepless nights in the process!
The other guys who have already booked the bike are lucky, man!

Bluevolt: Delhi\Gurgaon is not like our Bangalore where every Thula (Cowboy of bangalore) will stop you if you are driving the vehicle registered outside of KA..Originally posted by bluevolt View PostGood, good. How did you manage to circumvent the residence proof bit?
