. I have seen it in flesh in Pune showroom and I liked it of course. However, as per TrustVishwas brother, Pune PBK have mailed a few guys who have booked the bike saying something like -
"We are awaiting a Trade certificate from RTO Pune which we will get only by wednesday next week. Hence we apologize for we have not been able to deliver the bikes this festive season. After we get the certificate, the deliveries shall follow."
I hope it doesnt go on and on this way!!

I went to see how the black looks (btw the CP PBK does not have it on display) but I got smitten by the green color - it is simply awesome. I will now definitely go for the mean green when it launches in Bangalore...
Bandhav was very helpful with showing me around the Ninja and we also revved the bike till 4000 rpm - the exhaust note sounds unmistakably like a twin cylinder, which it is. For people who have the money to buy, but are waiting for 'something better', my advice is: Just buy the Ninja 250R and forget about anything else. It looks much bigger (and better) in flesh than in the pictures, is very practical/comfortable (near-neutral riding position), and should go pretty quick too. I truly believe you will not get this kind of value from any other 250 in the market, present and future, from whatever little I know of the motorcycling world. Read the xbhp review again if are still not convinced.
My only grouse is that Bajaj is not selling these bikes in Bangalore - am waiting eagerly till the time it does, and then I am going to hit the nearest ATM for the booking amount...
And thanks Bandhav for today! Nice meeting up and chatting up with you - will catch up sometime soon again!
ps: For the lucky buggers who have already booked the Ninja's, get a cool looking tank pad soon otherwise you will scratch the tank paint before you can say Ninja. DSG online has a good collection - so this should be easy.
And any mechanical adjustment vis after market parts (like the Yoshi clip-on I was dreaming of) will immediately void your warranty, so just stick to visual mods for 24 months.
That was a nice mini review buddy. I am sure it helps eliminate the hints of apprehensions and hesitation that some guys have with respect to booking this machine. Good to know that you guys could rev the bike a bit and experience the engine.
.
@Mr. Singh - Nice to know of your cooperative attitude :PLast edited by ashutosh_x; 10-15-2009, 05:39 PM.

Do that, and your 24 month warranty is void immediately!Originally posted by pulsar_flame View Postcan any one buy that usa ninja speedo meter for the fuel gauge is it possible ? can that unit fixed in this fi unit ?
Thanks...was glad I could make it to CP on time - pre-Diwali traffic in Delhi can be a royal pain in the wrong part of the body. And of course, Bandhav was very helpful so it was pretty cool...Originally posted by ashutosh_x View PostThat was a nice mini review buddy. the news of the launch is all over the net...and it has been in our memory ever since it was displayed in the autoexpo....what more publicity does it require.People who were waiting for it are rushing to book itOriginally posted by payeng View PostCongrats Imran (Born2lead) on becoming the first Ninja 250R owner of India.
The Ninja 250R so far seems to have received a warm reception, that too sans any publicity or advertisement.
It all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

Don't get so fussed by the lack of fuel gauge (though it would have been ideal); my RE never had one but I have done 2000km+ kind of tours without ever running out of fuel.
After a month of riding the Ninja, I bet you will get used to it and know even before the 'low fuel' light comes up
