Bah! I think I should move to Pune ! Still no news of the b'lore launch
... any clue how much would it cost to get the bike registered in b'lore if I get it from Chennai or Mumbai??

The bike from Chennai with temp registration will cost 276,000 including insurance (I called up Chennai today). When you register the bike in Bangalore, add another 32,500 rupees - that brings the total to 309,000... one day when i become rich i but ducati and then I race with cars. not now.

I will not get it from Chennai - not if I have to wait for three tortuous months
And as sreehari pointed out, I'd have to ride to chennai at a sedate 4000 rpm after the first 1000 kms is over and then the next one at 2000k. Every service will be a full three day affair.
I'd rather wait for our friends from Bajaj to be meherban on Bangalore...

Nothing will kill me if am not being a tool. Its not just about me. Its also about accidents which happen by accident. MT01 with its insane dry weight and hammering torque cannot be a beginners bike especially since I am not only new to the biking scenario but also new to indian roads.
