The bike from Chennai with temp registration will cost 276,000 including insurance (I called up Chennai today). When you register the bike in Bangalore, add another 32,500 rupees - that brings the total to 309,000... Round it off to 310,000 after paying the agents and touts at the Bangalore RTO.Originally posted by gouravkatyal View PostBah! I think I should move to Pune ! Still no news of the b'lore launch
... any clue how much would it cost to get the bike registered in b'lore if I get it from Chennai or Mumbai??
This excludes transportation from Chennai...

ThisOriginally posted by ashutosh_x View PostIt could also be possible that booking numbers dont mean anything
I booked on 9th and my booking number is 811. And he had clearly said i was the second one to be given a call back.
Calling the showroom doesnt really do shit.
If they dont deliver my bike on 23rd I am cancelling the bike and getting myself an MT01. Its just that MT01 with my noob kinda biking experience would be like ordering a deathwish.sigpic
when i ride bullet before my bullet was solid condition but i once race with a Ceilo car and my engine size. mechancic say bullet is good bike but no racing. it is good for three people and very powerful.

I will not get it from Chennai - not if I have to wait for three tortuous months
And as sreehari pointed out, I'd have to ride to chennai at a sedate 4000 rpm after the first 1000 kms is over and then the next one at 2000k. Every service will be a full three day affair.
I'd rather wait for our friends from Bajaj to be meherban on Bangalore...

I will stick with your plans, as I believe that you will take good and mature decisions.Originally posted by bluevolt View PostI will not get it from Chennai - not if I have to wait for three tortuous months

I also don't have any other source (help, assist, info) to achieve the target, other than local Bajaj pro-biking showrooms and XBHP members....

Strongly OT but necessary
1) The MT-01 wouldn't kill you. Unless you are a real tool and tries to pull off poser moves in the first week or so of riding it.
2) What makes you think you will get an MT-01 faster than what the Bajaj showroom has been promising you for the Ninja? There is NO MT-01 in stock with Yamaha at the moment. If you have the money, and are serious about it, Pay full money, and wait 8 weeks for 1670cc of pure torque."Tough times never last, but tough people do." - Robert Schuller

Nothing will kill me if am not being a tool. Its not just about me. Its also about accidents which happen by accident. MT01 with its insane dry weight and hammering torque cannot be a beginners bike especially since I am not only new to the biking scenario but also new to indian roads. But I get your point.Originally posted by rossiter View Post

I should have elaborated. My bros MT01; which is only 2 to 3 months old. Bugger went back to Australia after that and wont sell it either. He just might end up doing it if i convince himOriginally posted by rossiter View Post2) What makes you think you will get an MT-01 faster than what the Bajaj showroom has been promising you for the Ninja?
