I feel this should be done for every new bike launch. Like when ZMR was launched. Or when this Ninja 250R will be launched. Some sort of a soft ban or putting all these usernames under a 'do not trust' category can also help in future : when other new bikes will be coming our way so that members know here whom to trust and whom not to.. my 2 cents to reduce unwanted posts / fights here
    ^^^+1
atleast useless speculation can be controlled to an extent...

        • Well a lot of people are definitely excited about the bike even if they are not potential costumers. So a lot of excitement/speculation is but natural.
I dunno about you guys but i am maintaining the baby ninja will cost somewhere between 2.5-2.7 ex-showroom (might even cross 3 on-road) since it's going to be either a CBU/CKD and even with the trade agreement you have to take into account it costs nearly 2L. Add duties to it and the price easily crosses 2.5L. If Bajaj can price it any lower, they'll have my respect.

Edit: I just wish they fix the tyres and provide digital instrumentation.

              • Hell lot of speculation for a single thread, but nothing to worry about this is the modus operendi these days here at xbhp.

My two cents: The first lot of 200 bikes is already here, 96 out of these have already been assembled till yesterday. The ex showroom price will be on the wrong side of 2.80 lacs.

                    +1.

So there are now 200 bikes. Price is more or less what I was expecting. Will wait to see the response.

                      • from the photos of the baby Ninja, where are the spark plugs located???

                        • Hemispherical combustion chamber ala R15, the spark plug is on the the top of the combustion chamber.

                          • but on the R15 you have the sprak plug to the right of the engine and the valves & tappets on the top.

What I'm wondering about is if the spark plug goes onto the top, would it fit in between the valves & tappets?

                            • Sounds like a dive into the deep end of the pool after all. That is great news...I'd have hated it if they did the kiddy-pool act with only 50 bikes. Well this looks very interesting from the stunting, trackday and touring point of view. The R15 is all-new tech and the Ninja is basically 90's tech in fresh skin but from an Indian biker perspective - we need them both...and more!

I think it would be wiser for me to stick with the TZR250's 45+ bhp for a track-only tool. Whoever gets their Ninja first - I got dibs for a test-ride!!
