    • If "Supposedly" the official launch date of 05-Oct-09 has been announced, is there any use cribbing about it on 29-sep-09 ? If they don't launch it on 05-Oct-09, then we are free to curse BAL to hell. Till then I would recommend you guys to have one of these.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

2.) We have not yet received the pricing for the bike yet. We cannot give any details of the pricing before the official launch of the bike.

          • I see all the replys positive for a lunch in October. In general, no dealer will give an exact launch date because it may take time for the bike to come to showrooms even after an official launch. There is nothing wrong in giving a tentative date by a dealer.

Shoot a mail to officials in Bajaj. If they do not give proper response, we can crib then.

I am almost sure that we will get a a similar vague reply (launch next month or launch this year kind of a reply) from Bajaj officials as well.
Since I am at Pune and bike is expected to be launched in Pune Pro biking showroom first, I should be able to see it soon (theoritically). However, the reply given by Pune executive to one of our brothers contradicts it.

I think there can be a full fledged betting game that everyone can participate in on launch date and price of this machine

              • It'll be interesting to note how many among us commenting here would actually get the Ninja 250R after it is launched..

in my case, whatever might be the final price, I have to go for a family oriented 4 wheeler first.. before getting the 'Green' signal for the Ninja 250R.

Ditto here, If the Ninja is sub 2Lakhs then will go for it first and then will be going for a A star or the new Estillo by December! If the Ninja doesnt come then will go for the A star or the Estillo first and then somethign bigger by Jan-Feb...

(Edit: When I said 'AND' I meant Bike+Car in December.... I wouldnt want to buy the Ninja in the first lot, not unless I am atleast 80-85% assured of the after sales support!)

                  • @Mr. Tiwari: Can you really be considered as a prospective customer? If your answer is yes, then you better be ready with 3 Lacs+ Inrs, as you will be needing these pretty soon.

                    • Hmmmm.... I don't care whatever the price as long as it's below 6 lacs I'll buy it cause its the only 'leagal' sportsbike under 6 lacs... if had a choice of 600s I'd surely go in for it.... but the !@#$ indian govt and its rules always play spoil sport. But its ok hope u guys too buy a 4 wheeler and soon buy urselves a ninja

                      • I am going to buy the bike when the price is rational...meaning to say, there is no point giving a lot of money to the govt of India who just feeds on our hard earned money that it receives as tax. On top of it if the original bike price is 2 lakhs and if we have to pay 2 lakhs over it to the govt, then it makes little sense to do that.

Lets hope that the price comes out sensible

Too early to say Bandhav brother. Just let it come . You sure are so confident of a very hefty price tag arent you?

But like other every other soul here on xbhp i want it to be priced lower if not sensibly.

                              • My guess and logic may entirely prove wrong soon but still I would like to put it here :

                                1. A bike having 250 cc engine, that too when being launched in India should have something different from those which are directly imported from other countries by individuals.

                                2. Compared to other bikes in the same segment, even though this bike is much better, making it carry a price tag of more than 3 lakhs might not be a strategy of Bajaj.

Lets hope I am right on the above points
