After speaking to a lot of manufacturers, what they say is that the market for such bikes is less. Its better for them to just choose a litre class bike and bring it in via the CBU route. No matter how many people on various forums say they would want to have such a bike, in the end, hardly 1% of all those say this will end up buying such a bike.Originally posted by rishi500 View PostBunny bro,why is it that every manufacturer is hellbent on bringing their litre class and other brutes but not a single of 'em tryin to get a 600 midweight?
Those crazy machines are just right for us.Perfect harmony of power and price.Whats barring them?
Sorry for being OT but this question boggles my mind.
Bajaj in my opinion has taken the right step by getting in an entry level superbike first. You never know what might follow later as the officials hinted at getting more bikes from the Ninja stable in the coming years
I guess allOriginally posted by ACE_HUNTER View PostFor which one this bike suit

or
4: City ride bike

42.5kmpl? i dont see any Bajaj guy claiming that to me. Even the international websites claim the bike to deliver anywhere between 24-28kmpl in real world riding which is quite decent for a bike that belts out 33 horsesOriginally posted by whizzkid_ram View PostHaven't you noticed the name KAWASAKI BAJAJ NINJA 250 R DTS-FI ?
& thats the reason behind it
I tried searching : couldnt find any concrete news on the power thing. do share links if u come across any.Originally posted by silver_falcon_46 View PostHe also mentioned there was no surge of power but more of a linear delivery of power and clocked a 155kmph speedo read on the test track.
@Bunny: I remember reading somewhere that the carb version was more powerful than the Fi. I might be wrong.
as for top speeds - 155km/h on the clock? Well, the Ninja does that very very easily even on the limited straight at the Bajaj test track. official numbers will come in the November issue

1). With the bike capable of holding 135-140km/hr for longer period of time it will be a great tourer on NH and most of the SH's. The front visor gives you ample protection from wind at that speed.Originally posted by ACE_HUNTER View Post+1(Ot: when the r15 came with the tech which changed the entire performance segment to next level)

2) Yes
3) The bike is so corner friendly that you can ride even with your eyes closed.Got the message?
4) Pretty decent low end to make it a handy city ride bike but not sure how early the engine will overheat in those conditions.
Less aggressive than R15.Originally posted by Priyatam View PostGeneral Question: Ninja riding posture is similar to R15 or more aggressive than R15?

Can it cross Rohtang without the underbelly touching anywhere? Or even better can it cross Pagal Nallah?Originally posted by MG_Biker1806 View Post1). If yes, them I'm surely giving this bike a serious thought once the service network is well greased to handle this..._________________________

For antics like those, you have your FI 220 Praful! With the kind of ground clerance the 250R has, it might be difficult for it to do Spiti/ Leh!Originally posted by prafultripathy View PostCan it cross Rohtang without the underbelly touching anywhere? Or even better can it cross Pagal Nallah?

apart from the speedo console which looks like its a direct lift from the 1980's bikes the bike is superb from every mm.....
the best bike in india after the R15........
like the R15 created history in record breaking sales despite having a hefty price tag for a 150 cc this bike will repeat the same success as the R15....
time to start saving money.....
this bike left me thinkin how much i'll get for my RTR FI and how much i've to add to get my hands on this green beast.........

Oh yes.Originally posted by Bunny View Post^ u forgot the bungee hooks under the rear seat : a boon for tourers
This cannot be speculated and needs to be practically done. But whatever little feel I had I can say that it can be taken up there with some damage on the fairing. If I buy this bike then this will be first thing that I will try to doOriginally posted by prafultripathy View PostCan it cross Rohtang without the underbelly touching anywhere? There hasnt so far been any clarity on how and when they will start the booking.Originally posted by bluevolt View PostHi Bunny, do you know if they have planned selling the bikes in a phased manner? For example, Delhi and Pune first, followed by other cities? Because I have not seen the bike here in Bangalore yet.
Thanks!
Few questions I have in mind are :
1. When will the bookings start?
2. What is the booking procedure? Is the entire amount to be paid in advance?
3. How many days (precisely) it will take after booking to get the delivery of the bike?
4. Are they going to sell say 100-200 bikes in a phase, then pause to import more, and then begin again?
If anyone has any clarity/thoughts on the questions above, kindly enlighten me.
