Bike India says, "one of the fastest" which may include anything above 250 kmph, ain't it?
So, My guesses in expectancy order are R6, FZ1 & R1 '09.

R6 cannot be brought to India yet I think. The emission regulations thing(accepting euro 3 regulations for 2 wheelers) was for bikes larger than 800cc, and therefore, there is no regulation for the 501-799 cc category as yetTorque nut in the land of horsepower worshippers.

i think its the V Max or maybe the FZ1, there were suppose to launch it soon from what i last heard, but i still think and hope the new V Max, would be really great, this would really show that yamaha is very serious about india with the big bike segment

I don't think V-max is the fastest bike in the world. It has 200 bhp but top speed is not 300+ i think.Comment

The next news on the forum is gonna be "Yamaha has decided to delay the Launch of the Fastest Bike in the world in India" That will be due to technical reasons.. no less.. because, the fastest bike in the world is in fact a Suzuki.. not a Yamaha..
Chill people.. Yamaha isnt launching anything in India very soon.. at least nothing "FASTEST" is coming before 2010.. Just might be a new R15 with 7th gear to allow it to reach 164kmph thus making it the fastest 150 ever...
On the optimistic side, they might just launch the R125(Fastest 125 in India) at 80k OTR.. just to compete with the Stunner Fi in the "performance overpriced 125" segment. (No offends to stunner Fi owners.)Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.
