good to hear that the bike is on.
however, I have heard about a potential issue with the UCE. A friend of mine, who has a electra cast iron was told by his mechanic that there is an issue with the chain of the UCE. As the chain loosens over kms, it might roll over on the front sprocket, and then destroy the innards of the UCE. Friend was told that this issue has started cropping up, now that the UCE engine has been in the markets long enough for the chains to loosen.
I was surprised about this, because the UCE has been on sale in international markets also and it would have been a major pain for the company if some issue was actually present... therefore, dunno how much of truth is in this, but I will wait. Same mechanic also told my friend that the company is working on some resolution of this, but will take sometime for that to get implemented into the production.Torque nut in the land of horsepower worshippers.

well this is true if we dont tighten the chain at all.. If the chain adjuster is restored every service then this problem wont be there.Originally posted by Psycho_McCrazy View Postgood to hear that the bike is on.

guys, I just test rode the Classic 500 yesterday and I was mighty impressed with it. It sounded like a normal Enfield but minus the loud sound of the rockers. The pull from standstill is amazing. There's always room for more throttle when you are riding it. It really moves fast and very fast at that. The handle bars are wide enough for you to feel like you are sitting on a pedestal and own the road.
The gear shift and the engine are really smooth as compared to earlier REs. I was not a big RE fan but now I am considering to add this one to my garage.
