Well..... Split seats and bigger discs up front. Can see a few cosmetic changes as well to the sides. Can see that its 135cc at the place where the Pulsar has the cc written.
The 125cc - 135cc segment seems to be hotting up.I always have a pillion when i ride. Its my guardian angel.

You were talking about HHs dominance taking the market as a whole, right?Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostI disagree, a P135 would\should\could bleed the HH dominance.... and this would still be a premium over the XCD (hopefully)
Honestly it makes a lot of business sense!
The attempt to show off the 'pulsar' traits in XCD were anyways evident from the last TVC!
And lastly, this will do the brand Pulsar a lot good! and hopefully would also transalate into bigger better changes to the premium "Pulsar" range!
I agree it would translate into an increase in sales but it would harm the "premium" Pulsar brand for sure.
Moreover, if this is an indication of the bigger Pulsar series getting revamped, than its for sure, a good news!2002 - Pulsar 150 Classic (Still owned)
2005 - Pulsar 150 Dtsi (Still owned)
2006 - Eterno (sold)
2008 - Dio (Owned)
2009 - Pulsar 220 DTSi

From a Business point of view.. I think its definitely a masterstroke.Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostI disagree, a P135 would\should\could bleed the HH dominance.... and this would still be a premium over the XCD (hopefully)

When the likes of Yamaha can scale down its Super Sport series from the 1000 cc YZF-R1, 600 cc YZF-R6 to the 125 cc YZF-125 and yet maintain its "Premium" image... then why not this..??Originally posted by Devilpulsarian View PostI agree it would translate into an increase in sales but it would harm the "premium" Pulsar brand for sure.

The YZF 125 makes just a Puny 15 Ps and weighs around 138 Kgs.. and yet its labelled as a Super Sport by Yamaha.Originally posted by RascalAngel View PostWell see the difference here in Power/cc?
Its not just the "cc" or "Power" but the package you get in the bike and the kind of fun you have on it. And that's why the 15 Ps, YZF R125 gets labelled as a Super Sport bike.

1. We can review this sentence after 4 months (may be)...Originally posted by payeng View Post1. From a Business point of view.. I think its definitely a masterstroke.
2. When the likes of Yamaha can scale down its Super Sport series from the 1000 cc YZF-R1, 600 cc YZF-R6 to the 125 cc YZF-125... this makes sense too.
2. "Scaled-Down' ?
? R1 has inline 4 cylinder ... R125 has single cylinder...

But I feel Indian market and Foreign market can not be compared head on but still your statement does make sense.
Everything is good which sells!
Pricing would ideally be in the Discovers range but considering the fact that Bajaj regards Pulsar as its flagship brand, they might price it at a 1-2k premium.2002 - Pulsar 150 Classic (Still owned)

Definitely a superb branding strategy by Bajaj. The needed something to counter sports commuter segment, dominated by CBF125. A Pulsar brand name will of course give it a edge.
So after all is a 4 Valve? And if it is, then I can already imagine the next 220 4Valve!
Been There, Done That; Better!

That is courtesy our Indian customerOriginally posted by RascalAngel View PostWhat i meant by difference is that all three bikes of "YZF" range are separated by a large amount in their power and cc whereas the 4 Pulsars are hardly separated by 90cc/8bhp...
.. majority of whom (the buying bulk) can't afford such exorbitant differences in cc or power and of course the price.
