Honda's 110cc Twister Spied ??

Only Honda can get away with this type of thought process and well they have always ...... otherwise how does one explain the relative neglect of their first bike and segment. I wonder if they can do these things to 125 and 110 cc segments then what prevents them doing so with their 150? After this the Unicorn owners would/should really feel pi$$ed off.

Now, the pics at BSmotoring have been blurred for obvious reasons. May be Honda was not happy with that.

Perhaps a bit too much for a 110cc, but its a great bike!
Anyways, after Stunner it seems Honda's plan is working. Great looking machines are preferred in this market, where people are fed up buying ordinary naked bikes, and also those Splendor/Passion types...
1st impressions very positive, but I wonder where they got the engine from? I mean, it can be a long stroked mill, from some other 100cc bike? maybe...---

The motorcycle definitely looks good. And Honda have done a brilliant job at incorporating the essence of CB300 in there. Very well.
The seating position is upright with slightly rear set pegs, this along with the bike's overall styling, has very well given the indication of what Honda wants to achieve in 100cc segment. They want guys like us to go for it too, OR atleast take it into consideration which would be a start if you know what I mean!
I think this is one of Honda's important objective with this bike, to change the consumers mindset about 100cc bikes, and that these can also fun be to ride! Intelligent
Pricing is important, however, we should keep in mind that the Stunner carb, once considered slightly overpriced, is now selling like hot cakes. Also, being a 100/110cc bike it is not likely to have any complicated technology, hence should be easy on maintenance. The pricing should be fine because Honda would expect decent volumes from this one, and even though the styling is turning out to be sporty and better than the higher segment bikes, it will still be comfortable and will likely give good fuel mileage. Definitely Honda knows how to pull stuff.
Honda have a massive following everywhere, and this is why they need to create awareness a bit early about their entry in 100cc segment, so far untouched by them. There would be many people out there who would hold their purchase and wait for this one especially after looking at the pics. And I think Honda most likely have already finished working on the Unicorn upgrade/new 150cc bike and may be we will see something in auto expo or early next year.
However, for the one with very limited budget but on a lookout for stylish fuel efficient bike, I think this will be the jackpot!Last edited by Satellite.kid; 12-01-2009, 04:01 AM.The Chronicles of Motorcycling - The Man, The Machine and The Road

a very nice design. I like the FZ like side scoops on the tank. though the tank curve is similar to the CBF stunner, the way it merges with the seat tells the difference. The rear has also been executed very well.
A win win for honda.. All it needs is a 70+ mileage now!!!

Are rear set foot pegs comfy for long rides and for short rides ? .
If sitting position is straight which would equate to comfort , why rear set foot pegs ? .
Edit :
Saw CBZ- XTREME closely today and something struck me . Was thinking this bike is nothing but CBZ extreme with a smaller engine , rear set foot pegs , a stunner tank and probably 17 " wheels with a small fairing , a bit raised pillion seat.
And if those are 18 " wheels then the pillion seat is damn high which i am bent to guess they are .
Hope the engine is not an activa based engine . Otherwise HMSI reasearch party will the joke of the century for me . I mean to say nothing in competition to Bajaj or TVS or Yamaha or for that matter any Co I can think of . Way too many years they had to develop it .
Although people call it a thing of the past now , Unicorn still remains the best because it was developed by the japs and boy they can build some engines.
Stunner or shine engine shows the honda india or HMSI cannot build such superior engines .
I mean they dont replicate unicorn's quality in terms of refinement n performance .
Lets hope , lets just hope there is some good about the engine or Honda will lose even the little respect that it has in my eyes atleast . Although it matters a zilch to them . This thing looks good which means it will sell . But I would be terribly disappointed .Last edited by outworldly maniac; 12-01-2009, 08:17 AM.Hope is a good thing ,

A definitely stylish option looking for something beyond the Hero Honda Passion+ /Passion Pro (won't club the Hero Honda Splendor+/Bajaj Discover DTS-Si/TVS Star bikes as they appeal to a different genre of customers).
Could even effect the prospect of a few 125 cc bikes like the Hero Honda Glamour, TVS Flame and the Yamaha Gladiator and even the Honda Stunner. The pricing could make the difference.

Excellent bike, apart from an entry level bike this will also serve as an altrernate bike for the people who own bigger machines and avoid taking them to busy streets.
People who are asking for bigger (150+) bikes should must understand that for Honda it is very important to have offering in all segments starting from entry level. First they create a healthy lineup then they can think of replacing the bike which is already performing well (Unicorn in this case). I am sure that Honda must be working on 150+ bike but they are known for foolproof strategy and never afraid of competition.
First Stunner and now Twister, making me feel confident that their Unicorn replacement will be one mindblowing machine.sigpic
