or that thing is just a heat shield on the exhaust pipe.. nothing to get exited about!!

The encircled area looks like a resonator something like the one used by Bajaj. Note carefully that there is a sudden variation in the diameter of the exhaust in the encircled region. And it definitely isnt a heat shield.... i saw something different and hence raised a question to see whether anyone has info about it. Wasnt speculating anything.

and in that regard, it definitely is a stand out product!

if compared to other bikes in other cc range, it does make a unique statement of its own. atleast it doesn't look like another 100cc!

but then looks are subjective to individual

Yeah.. it is... thankfully, it didn't have to accommodate 2 spark plugs - as seems to be the trend now a days. Dunno how Honda would manage to sell this babe without the help of that awesome digital technology.

As for the gaps, may be we can use that space as a luggage bay. Wot say?

And, Honda is not known to use any technology into their engines. Have you ever seen them telling about anything such?

Bottom line: if you are a techno freak - keep away from this bike. Buy it only for looks and reliability.

            luggage bay ..lolz

ya honda can be trusted blindly but i fear that someday blindly trusting something leads to a downfall...i learnt this the hard way..but still honda is honda for now....personally i dont care much about technology in bikes..i just want it to be problem free and take me quickly from point A to B and also faster...

Any ideas if Honda is trying to replicate the success story of Kinetic Honda or Activa with this bike?

I mean, thinking against what I thought since I saw the pictures, may be we would see a clutch-less or even an auto-gear bike and that could be the big think Honda was pointing to!!!

Can that could even be the reason why TVS launched their Jive?

Honda recently unveiled the 109cc engine on Activa and now on Aviator...

By any chance, is this the same engine...?

or is it just a paradox...?

maybe it's based on the same engine...who knows better than honda themselves

Absolutely !! Hondas spend a lot of attention and do considerable research before launching a product. They make sure that the investment into the plant/ideas doesn't go wrong, this bike is gonna attract all categories of 100-135cc bike buyers and it will replicate the success of popular Honda models in India.

                      • I have serious doubt that this leaked picture is not actually leaked but Honda must have given it to media to lure people who are actually eying P135. And see their strategy worked, on xbhp itself we are getting more posts in Honda CB110 thread than P135. I think this bike is a threat to P135.

This is just my personal opinion.

                        • How many of you managed to see the rear brake lever???

                          Is that thing missing?
(KK_RTR pointed this our a few days back)

May be Honda is launching an auto-gear (variomatic transmission) bike.

The rear brake lever (at right side rider foot peg) should be chrome and be visibly seen. Even if I want to think that Honda painted it black, they wouldn't have left the kick rod in chrome then.

Looks like my guess can gather some mass now.

Mechanical brake rod is clearly visible for rear drum. I see very rare possibility of any new ground braking technology on this bike. This is an entry level bike and Honda must be checking the cost of each part.

                            • Look at the pics again:

The rider is not applying brakes here (see the front lever is untouched and we expect the factory testers and such people to apply brakes in a proper manner - use the front first and the rear to aid the front) but his right toe position is so low that if there was a brake pedal, it would have been braking hard.

Rods connecting the rear brake drum exist. But where is the lever seen? The rods could be connected to the lever at left hand.

Also, the brake pedal/lever generally goes from under the exhaust pipe. Can someone see something there?

Good observation, if what you say is right then this could be a clutchless bike.
