      OMG...What a design.

I think HMSI is secretly trying to take over HH in terms of sales by producing better styled products.I am so happy because i think charging people exorbitantly for the 97.2cc sloper engine had to stop somewhere!!

I hate to disagree with you my friend. People pay for that 97.2 cc joke of an engine because they want to. It is 'Reliable' and the sign of a 'GOOD guy'. You know how it is. People trust HH blindly and for most people there is no other company or segment.

Coming to the point here: Honda will sell this bike by numbers. It will make a lot of money. Power hungry riders like us will be starving as always.

I do not want to hurt anybody's sentiments. This is my personal opinion.

I strongly agree to your first point. Take 100% on that.

But I disagree with rest of them.

It is not them but it is us who are running in the opposite direction.

Millions of people are commuters. Few thousands are enthusiasts. Now, if you were a businessman and have two targets:
            1) Make money
            2) Serve as many people as you can so you get the benefit of scale/large numbers

            What would you do?

More people want bikes. Efficient & reliable ones. Low on running costs and that give them peace of mind. Then, India has the largest % of people between 10-35 years of age. And most of them are between their teens & 25. That's a very young population. That wants style in everything they do. Now, do I need to point you to the Stunner's success story? And even after witnessing that would you want to ask why a stylish 110 cc? As a business house Honda is doing an amazing job and delivering things to perfection.

As for the substance, reliability, comfort and low maintenance are the substance for a commuter segment bike.

As a biker, you pray & wait.
            --------

            Now to the disappointing part...

Yes, as a biker I too am disappointed. But from the business perspective they cannot build new bikes like new designer-wear. They got to build them block by block. Only then can they get more numbers for the higher models by the means of upgrades. Only then can they give you a cost effective solution. Only then can they give you assurance of reliability.

Now, it is surprising that you are not happy with Yamaha India either. Bajaj, TVS, Yamaha, HH have come up with new bikes in performance segment in the past two years and have some more in the pipeline. Honda & Suzuki are working on filling their gaps and giving the much needed upgrades to older models.

All these are positive signs tor getting better and bigger bikes in a few years. Have some patience. It is a great virtue.

Thank you for understanding my point. Dont get me wrong, I was very happy till R15, but after that well, its a different story.

Anyways, is that engine in the twister from an activa? seems really puny.

Ever heard of a little bike from brazil called the cbx 250 twister? the bike we have here looks like the cb300 which replaced the cbx250 and carries the name of Twister.

God I wish if they could at least bring the cbx 250 to India.

This should be a very different engine - but may be developed along with the Activa's engine.

Scooters have a different setup. The engine is not vertical on the crank case, forced air cooled from the fins on its rotors, centrifugal auto gear, drive train, ... very different.

or that thing is just a heat shield on the exhaust pipe.. nothing to get exited about!!

everyone here is comparing this bike to other existing 100/110cc bikes.
and in that regard, it definitely is a stand out product!

if compared to other bikes in other cc range, it does make a unique statement of its own. atleast it doesn't look like another 100cc!

but then looks are subjective to individual
