the cbr does have c-abs system and TVS has shown a working model of Apache with abs . it was even displayed in the last auto expo .

Yeah, these thoughts did cross my mind. But the dealer i am mentioning here is of ZEN TVS .Who if you may know is not some typical TVS dealer who knows very little of the bikes he's selling and he is a passionate biker who deals with TVS racing team guys .
Another thing which made me think about it ,is that i had read a article in a auto mag about a TVS subsidiary developing a ABS and it was displayed at the auto expo a few years back.The magazine had given a pic of it fitted on a RTR.I know about TVS's auto expo displays and how rarely they make it onto the market. So i will also be sure about it only when it hits the markets.

The next bike from TVS, if the dealer here is right ,is the Fuel Injected RTR180 with ABS .Which he said was brought here by the TVS guys .

if the dealer is true then it is a very bad move from TVS. Already the RTR180 is not moving out of the showrooms as frequently as the other bikes in the similar price range. Add to that costly techs like FI and ABS. Just think about the hike in price the RTR 180 will have. This bike somehow does not make any business sense.

ABS seems a possibility(as TVS has already been testing it) but Fi isn't(unless it's a 200cc+ motor) .

It will unnecessarily escalate the price with no 'real' benefits in performance and as skynight mentioned it just doesnt make a good business sense as the competition in the premium segment is strong.

Apache RTR 180s aint much to be seen on the street.
At least I could not spot many.

But then this bike is a real performer.
My friend has it, and it is certainly a menace.
Acceleration & pick up are awesome & I think unbeatable in its segment.
It's a best deal over Pulsar 180 any time.
But even then it has not got much needed response from buyers.

If the new bike has to be RTR180 with ABS & FI, it surely needs a revamp in looks.
It has to look different from its siblings.

I believe, only then there can be a good demand for this new model.
Yeah, RTR 180 with FI + ABS will surely be a great experience.

ask me man... i had a tough time going for P220F over the A180..
it is better than the P180 anyday but the P220S is not very costly than the Apache and that makes your mind tinkling.

i agree but jacking the price up by around 15-20k for FI and ABS will surely make it unreasonable for a 180cc bike... it would be the same case as the Stunner-FI.
