250cc pumping out 21bhp in India would be a piece of crap.Especially when 250cc here makes 33bhp as on Ninja or 30bhp as on the Comet GTr.Here the 220cc Pulsar makes 21bhp for the records.Yamaha better not launch it and instead prepare a V twin or inline three yzf-R250 putting a RD350 capable 38bhp.They also should prep a 165cc for use on the Fazer.

Even i m dissappointed looking at that power.. I expected around 25 BHP at least... I like the overall looks but performance wise i dont think its upto the mark..and surely it wont be as the same cost of P220

This Fazer is currently launched in brazil I dont think that Yamaha will change the Engine specifications once they launch it here.. so this is what fazer 250 has to offer i guess

yepp...huge disappointment, for a 250cc i surely expect power above 30bhp evn 25bhp will be disappointing.
and in that case our very own p220 would be a better choice over the yamaha 250cc(21 to 25 bhp) atleast it would give great VFM

that means there is 21nm of torque in this bike and not 12 as qouted in the indian website i checked earlier. I can trust the brazilian site as it is an official yamaha website

but is 21nm enough???....compare it to the kwasaki 250r
theres gonna be a lot of competition in the 250cc segment in the next 2 years...
honda is coming with their cbf250
then there are speculations of mahindra's 250cc/300c diablo
honda n yamaha both are developing v-twin 250cc for their r series
with hyosung coming to india gt250r launch would not be far now...
