R15, rusting issues? It had wield rusts thing, which is both normal and not dangerous... with Hyosung we were talking about the entire tank, silencers getting rust!!Originally posted by bprags View Post
Its pretty ironic that when there was only a 'overpriced' ninja everyone cried on how and why M&M should get back the Comet and the 650... and now when there is news about it, people have begun bashing it!Originally posted by lockhrt999 View Post

1. The 650 is a Vtwin & you wont get the vroom of an inline 4.
2. Quality only comes at price.

the hyosung's gt650r is priced at somewhere around $6000 so if imported to india it would cost somewhere around 5.7l but i dont think it will find many buyers as its power output 72bhp as compared to the output of ninja 650, zx6r, r6 which all have power in excess of 110bhp....Timon: Orange Yamaha FZ16 2009
Optimus: Red Mahindra XUV500 W8 FWD 2013
Atom: Red Tata Nano XTA 2016
Pumba: Red Harley Street 750

i like what the V-Twin sounds like. specially at higher revs.Originally posted by invincible2110 View Post1. The 650 is a Vtwin & you wont get the vroom of an inline 4.
that extra 40 odd bhp comes with a price.Originally posted by kinshuk.arya View Postthe hyosung's gt650r is priced at somewhere around $6000 so if imported to india it would cost somewhere around 5.7l but i dont think it will find many buyers as its power output 72bhp as compared to the output of ninja 650, zx6r, r6 which all have power in excess of 110bhp....
the ZX-6R and the R6 both cost $10,500... each (
)
so you can only guess what they will cost when once actually they get here.
if and when.
it's prolly best not to compare the the GT650R with them.
spec, price or performance wise.
the Kwacker 650R tho seems similar to it in terms of horse power.
and if the GT650R is priced well...
the estimated 4 lac price tag estimated by Bike India seems possible...
i see the GT650 doing better than the Kawasaki 650R here.
Being Fully Faired n all. India.

I thought modifying the Combustion Chamber Design and Port geometry along with a change in Fuel supply system could be classified as changes in 'Engine technology'. But it doesn't seem to be the case though..

I dont think thats gonna happen as the brand 'Pulsar' is way more famous than the brand 'Bajaj'. They will surely wanna leverage on the fact and keep that name as that would attract more customers.Originally posted by kinshuk.arya View Postno more pulsars....... please..... it already has so many variants.... i think if they are going for a 250 c.c. or more capacity bajaj should do something more like a fresh new design and ore importantly a new brand, a new name....
Changing the name and build will always raise questions in a general buyer's mind.
P.S : Here am not talking about people like us as we are hardly 2% of the crowd
P.P.S : Having said that, if they get the new machine with the 4-valve technology, that would be a welcome change for everyone...Eyes on you bajaj
