I am not a big fan of the V-twin beats sound.

    • Guys As far as Hyosung is concerned i have heard that the Company is not reliable. I mean the bikes built quality is not very good thus its not popular between bikers.

Is there any chance that the 250 variant may be launched..?

I am yet to come across any Comet 250 owner who has complaints about his/her bike.

iLike! love the sound of the V-twin...
sounds quite a bit like a ducati! maybe that's a stretch...

with the Comet 250... they were quite a letdown as far as after sales service is concerned when they were here as Kinetic/Hyosung.

The fit n finish isn't as nice as the Japs. But heck it's definitely worth the price.

          i know about 9-10 friends who've owned/own comets...
they've had no complaints with the motor or overall experience as far as the bike itself is concerned.

quite possible... but they'll prolly keep the 250 for a later date.

Thats why the price is around 4.5 lakh.
And M&M is the most likely partner.
anything below 800cc needs homologation, CKD or no CKD. CKD just helps them bring the price down because it attracts lower duties.

If bike India rode a bike in India that means ARAI must have got a bike for homologation too or this bike maybe the sale 'homologated' bike returned from ARAI.

what about the less than 800cc rule???

If people here are happy with Bajaj's build quality (with no disrespect to Bajaj), then i think they will be happy with Hyosung's build quality too. Only thing that Hyosung or whoever is bringing them in should make sure is good after sales service.

                • Well I've used a Comet gt 250 for some time & I don't think there are any reliability issues, & about the discussion as to whether they have come into India, I think they have. I just read the BI article, the greenery in the pics & the last few sentences seem to be hinting that the bikes have come into India. As to whom they are coming out with, let me check with my friend on the M&M front.

How many owners do you know of?

Most are bhpians who have sold their GT's for lack of service and spares.

absolutely! every single comet owner i know personally have had massive issues with after-sales service and find spares locally.

its been they sole reason for selling the bike.

but the bike itself... none of them had any complaints.

Hyosung will have to make sure they don't mess up with after-sales service this time.

IIRC Hyosung had few rusting issues.

^^I would rather spend my hard-earned money on a Jap. Thank you

Korean or not... I'm just glad the GT650R is coming here.
it's paving the way for the good stuff.

                            • Well! I recall even the R15 had rusting issues :P. I am more interested in seeing how much the korean bikes are priced wrt to the jap bikes, I still believe quality wise Hoysung can be compared to Bajaj & TVS. What say?
