        • Th point i am trying to convey is if we have something like a 400 cc bike which has a 40-60 bhp power and can be used for daily commuting to office, weekend rides, highway blasts and can easily tour to leh something like the zma does and that too within a affordable range of <2 lakhs, then i am sure whichever company launches this will be the king of the 2 wheeler market as the models will make the customer feel like a full VFM .

            Stop dreaming, dude.

Even the ninja 250 costs about 2 lakhs abroad.

We do not talk here about what people overseas sells and buy...I agree with @srinathrao. a 400cc bike why not in bracket of 1.8-2.2L... I dont say if such bike is launched it should/would cost 2 lakh but I wont be surprised if Bajaj brings such machine in near future in that price bracket!!

Well, how is this possible when we have almost negligble market for 400cc bikes.

i would say the negligible market is because there are no 400's.... launch the cbr 400 in say a bracket of 3.5-4 and see the sales go sky rocketing....

The ninja is 2 lakhs abroad because of the high cost which goes in its manufacturing right but if bajaj can launch the pulsar 220 within the range of 80k why cant we expect a 400 cc in 2 lakhs

@riazmomin, Was there any market for the Rd350 when it was launched, but the bike created a era and its followers which we all know, and by the way negligible market and all can be changed if something like a 400cc is launched in the budget of 2 lakhs, which should have the iconic presence like the rd350.
