    • The Minimum requirement:

Don't increase stroke any further: 57.8 mm
Increase bore as much as TVS can even to the limit of using thinnest industry standard of 1 mm sleeve : Maximum, maybe upto 69 mm.

      Total CC 216 cc

Power : whatever 21-22-23-24 PS but at 10 k rpm.

      Carb Please : 32 + mm

Cycle Parts: Lightest chasis with thinnest imported tyre. Even a 90X90 section would do.

At least, something for Ganja deprived lot here in India.

10k rpm-peak power would be too much to ask for, IMO!!

And everything else is possible for TVS!!

For that they already have the Jive, Max4R, Wego and a new 125cc lined up!!

No need of a 200cc+ motorcycle which will cater to a niche/low-volume market!!

                  • Ohh ... Yamaha is surviving, reviving and thriving on this relatively small 150+CC niche market -- even though here we are talking about very small numbers(17,892 units in March 2010 as compared to 14,575 units in the same month last year) . I never asked for 220+ ... anything new, good and exciting can turn tables for TVS. I really like TVS bikes and want them to do well against Japanese Trio and an Indo-Jap crossover financially too. So really hope that MAX4R, Jive, Wego and upcoming new 125CC will do this magic .. along with some/above speculated 150+/220+/250+ .... bike.

                        • TVS doesn't need to compete with HH or they can't beat HH in numbers

                          Comment

                          • Out of all these speculations TVS will end up in 220 and we'll have a line up, 160,180 and 220.

Thank god BAJAJ discontinued the 200 otherwise if it would have done real good in numbers then TVS would have focussed in launching RTR200 first then it would have launched the RTR220.

IF it goes in INDIA like this, bumping the CC's by 10,15,20 and creating new segments then we can imagine in how many years they will launch a home grown 600.

I wonder why no other publication has reported about it.
