Not 'research' but I have been doing some reasonable reading & riding the last few years, and I am yet to come across a review for any new generation high performance motorcycle having inadequate/weak braking ability, let alone liter class supersports!

For the record, my previous ride (the YZR1000R Thunderace which reportedly had the best brakes in its day) falls into hypersport category, my cousin owns a Hayabusa which I have ridden around plenty, and another riding mate has an upgraded aftermarket braking system on his Hayabusa, and I ride a supersport with aftermarket stintered brake pads, so I probably have some vague idea when I speak of brakes.

Coming to the point though, my earlier post was intended towards finding out which liter class bike were you referring when you mentioned the brakes being not so good?

If there is something I admire about superbikes as much as their acceleration figures, it is their braking ability.
From the 'few' old school and new generation motorcycles I have ridden, there is hardly a well kept example with weak braking ability.
Maybe you were comparing the brakes of your 14 to the ones on your RDs, or you just have probably ridden some super 'monster' stuff with quad disks at the rear and a few more than that in the front.

      +1

Are we going to compare 200-0 / 300-0 braking distances now?

      • Gentlemen, the Britishers have left, but they have left a deep scar on our psyches, a scar which only seems have the panacea called "Do you know better English than me?" Let us please excuse each other and get on discussing motorcycles. There is already a lot of pain and baggage in this world, why do you want to lug more? Thank you very much.

              • @ manson, dude i may have jumped the gun by using the words AS BAD AS, but i surely dont need to prove that the 14R's breaking is different, has different characteristics while breaking hard on high speeds etc etc as its come from a person who i believe has alot of knowledge to hit speeds above 217mph on stock braking system. The entire thing started from the 200mph run that i was hoping to do & if ABS was imperative or not. Anyways, I wont be able to ask him to call you to prove you that. Hence i asked you to do some research.
Stating that i was comparing 14 & RD, you should know by now that sarcasm doesnt go well with me. If there's a personal issue, then we can sort that out outside of the forum rather than writing away to glory. Cheers
