gt 250r launched at 2.75 lakhs ex-showroom delhi... this really sucks... it means it will be above 3 lakhs otr in mumbai n even more in thane.. dsk-hyosung has committed suicide seriously

mate they have launched the bike with super high price and truth to be told the quality of the bike's weld, seats seam, plastic part is worse then cbr, duke leave alone ninja. god knows how the already non existent service networks backs up this time .
with the frequently changing parters and detuned performance , super high price, those who do not know till now, price of gt 250r is less then cbr 250r in usa, europe, the only reason some one might want to go for this bike will be the big bike poser stance and feel.

You fail to realize the purpose of a beginner bike is to make beginners comfortable with the dynamics, handling and bulk of bigger bikes, rather than the power delivery. Do the ninja or cbr offer that? or can they even?

which other bike has the dimensions, dynamics, sportbike riding stance of bigger bikes?

as for the price, imo it is very realistically priced for the kit it offers. Add in an extra cylinder, an extra disc, USds, exposed beam frame to a cbr or z ninja, import it, and then we shall see how they sell it at the price it sells for.

AFAIK, if you wanted to learn how to handle bigger bikes, the GT250R is still the only true beginners sportbike available anywhere, leave alone india.

Again, nobody here gives a s**t about what happens in usa. this is India.

But given the validity of the detuned bit. The earlier bikes easily put out 30hp, all you had to do was take out the cat con. With the lack of go in the new ones, they don't make much sense. Personally, i totally hate the red/white color scheme, though not as much as the cbr's red.

For all it's worth, I won't be putting my money down for this one. But if they launched a naked version with the performance the previous ones had, I would go out and buy one....just like i did some 6 odd years back.

relax .. most of the ppl are like sheeps.. they just follow the one infront of him.
anyway there are ppl who know's these things and hence they won;t comment on every post .. becz its useless to tell others how good or bad is the thing .. they always do what they seems right.

on price point .. all i can say is YES its justifiable due to all those import duties and not to mention sliding rupee value against dollara.. BUT its overpriced by 25K max.. the ideal price would be 2.5L ex-show which fits the bill

I am not a fan or a hater of Hyosung bikes. But reading each and every post is like reading similar posts, the same thing "The price is too high" stuff. lemme too admit that for me the price is too high. In that sense the SBK's which costs around 15 Lakhs are way too high from my perspective. I couldn't find any justification for a 2 wheel costing upward of 15 Lakhs. But ironically one of my dream bikes is the BUSA and if I have the above said moolah I will blindly go any buy the bike. That means its about a passion and love towards bikes. If you feel the price of the GT250R is high don't buy it, rather posting it many times "price is high, hyosung sucks, the parts are cheap, reliability issues blah blah..."won't make the price to drop. There are people who love to own the bike these comments makes their heart fade and sometimes irritated.
I had my eyes all set for the launch of the GT250R and when heard the price I found this is not for me, lets move on guys, you may miss you next train...

similarly, the "price is justified" and "its just 25k overpriced" is also posted again and again.
