Re: Superbike import options
No matter what bike you are getting imported, the tax percent remains the same.Originally posted by BLACKRiVAL View PostGuys how much should be the total tax paid for a 2003 cbr954rr.
The difference lies in whether you are getting a new unregistered bike or getting a bike on TR(transfer of residence)
BTW there are some 954rr on sale, you can try your luck for a legal one, although a 12 year old bike might give you spare part issues.Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

Re: Superbike import options
you can not get below 800 cc bikes in india legally other than via TR - periodOriginally posted by nadz11.ns View Postcan i know one thing.. if we agree to pay the full tax and want to import a mid weight to India (like R6). is that also not allowed..?
i am asking because i saw a R6 last week or so..
no exceptions to this rule whether you want to pay full duty or partial or even more than full duty.
the indian import laws dont allow it

Hi!
First, my apologies if this has already been posted and admins can delete my thread and PM me the link to the relevant thread!
Sorry again...
No coming to the point, I shifted to UAE last year after residing in Mumbai for 8 years.
Am an avid rider since 6th Grade (illegally of course
) having owned a couple of Bajaj Spirits (1999 & 2003), an RX135 (1999), a Pulsar 180 (2003), Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi (2007) and currently a proud owner of KTM Duke 200 (2012), Honda Aviator (2008) and Ninja 250R (2009) back in India in addition to the Jewel in the crown - The 2009 RC8-R here in UAE.
Now i wish to return to Mumbai within say next 3-4 years (wishful thinking of course) and want to bring my RC8-R home along with me.
Need to know the documentation that needs to be in place for this bike to be eligible to be brought in through Transfer of Residency clause.
Do's and Don'ts so that (hopefully) no surprises arise when I am finally ready to bring the baby (Monster!?) homeKTM RC8R (2009)
KTM Duke 200 (2012)
Ninja 250R (2010)
Honda Aviator (2008)
Yamaha RX135 (1999) - sold
Bajaj Spirit (1998) - sold
Bajaj Spirit (2003) - sold
Bajaj Pulsar 180 (2003) - sold
Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi (2007) - sold

Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!
