Hi sachin Finally i have made my self mentally and financially ready for the Ninja 650 just need to know how is the Pillion Comfort on the bike can i do Ladakh with a Pillion?

I have done ample amount of pillion rides so far but none on treacherous road conditions as Ladakh so I cannot really comment how would the pillion comfort be in difficult terrain like Ladakh. In normal riding conditions I have done as much as 2000 kms ride with pillion and both myself and pillion do not have any issues spending 10+ hours on the saddle. It depends a lot on the pillion how much they can endure. It easier to ride than to be a pillion actually. If your purchase is after December I may be in a position to give you an answer to pillion comfort in bad roads and tuff conditions.

On normal roads, the only aspect is the low GC of 130 mm which makes the bike go to standstill over bumps to avoid any sort of hits to your underbelly exhaust. On Solo rides you can over most of the bumps without putting your feet down but with pillion its basically down to standstill - both feet down and climb over the bump. It's annoying but part of the riding experience on this bike

Also completed my 10th Service for N650. Did regular service which involved oil change, oil filter change, topped up radiator coolant as it was almost soaked in completely. Got the wheel bearings inspected (they are still intact), changed the brake fluid (both front & rear), air filter cleaning, regular cleaning of bike and washing of the bike, etc. Cost - Rs.3950

By end of next month, I shall be replacing the rear brake pads (worn out), spark plugs (last was changed at 27K kms so it's time new ones are added), clutch cable replacement (I have n't changed it since I bought the bike, so I guess it's time to change and keep the old one for back up on long rides), fuel injectors cleaning, valve clearance check, Air Vacuum check, etc etc.

A Green Affair! Starring Kawasaki Ninja 650

Date: 10th Oct'15
Destination: Aamby Valley, Lonavala
Total Distance: 230 kms

First good ride after full service. Impromptu rides are always great, called up few friends late night and asked them if anyone felt like riding to Aamby before Sun rise. 3 agreed and 1 could not wake up at 4 am so it was 2 N650's and 1 Blade. Some pictures of the ride below. Next ride is Goa in couple of weeks time to celebrate a friend's Bachelors party.













My Joe Rocket Boots suddenly gave up once I reached Lonavala and I did not realise it till I actually reached Aamby. In return my cautious mind did not allow me to ride freely and unfortunately no cobbler shop was open. Did A work around in one of those chikki shops with tape and reached home :P

Hey, do you know how much does N650 handlebar cost? I was thinking to change my handlebar for upright position.

Sachin, that first picture looks like a Boris Vallejo painting man. Brilliant stuff. This is why you should ride alone. You can stop, smell the grass.. Taste the air.. And admire what Mother Earth throws at you. Awesome brilliant and all super adjectives. Ride long and happy!!

I think it should be less than 5K. I don't know the exact cost, you can check with KTM service centre. Honestly, I don't think you should change your handlebar to some other bike's handlebar, the bike's handling may impact. Probably read some online Z800 forums to find what others have done for more upright stance.

Thanks Odeen. I actually prefer to ride in group but once in a while Solo rides can be quite refreshing

1. Change handlebar
2. Get handlebar risers

Inclined towards risers , just wanted to know pricing before deciding [emoji4]
