How do you manage such things Sachin bhai.

For me to convince my wife and mum to go for a ride is like climbing atop the Everest. I believe the latter can be done. This is the only instance where they share the same opinion.

It's simple, I take my better half on some rides and hence, I'm forgiven for some solo rides

Mine is damn scared to even get on my bike. She feels she might topple and fall down, Hence convinced my mum as well that the bike is unsfae to drive and both of them are giving me hard time. Cant say more

Sachin Sir, i have been following your blog for long time now and I am a big FAN

Recently i was fortunate enough to buy same bike as yours a 2012 Ninja 650 and have started riding again

Tire life depends on riding style and choice of tire. If you are talking about stock tires that come with the bike then it will last you around 15K kms with sane riding. The cost of tires depends on brand, size, date of manufacture, etc so you may find same tires costing different.

I just purchased a set of Michelin PR2 (120" Front & 180" Rear) for 17K. Front tire was 2015 manufactured but rear tire is 2013. They do come with one year warranty for any irregular wear & tear so that suffices for me.

P.S. You might wanna read some random updates in some pages in this thread for any details needed with respect to the bike. I am sure all your answers related to N650 will get answered somewhere in this thread

First of all congrats for CBR650F. Enjoy the rides and ride safe! Following your thread so keep updating your ownership experience!

Regarding my feedback, I have always praised the 180 section tire for its all round capabilities. Your friend can switch to 180 section in future without any second thoughts.

Attaching a couple of pictures for reference. On Google and perhaps on this thread too you'll lot of pictures of the 180 section tire.

^^^ I think the tail lamp has integrated turn signals, I read this few post earlier. Please correct me if I am wrong Sachin

Doc, the OEM fairings, both sides rhs & lhs, will dent the wallet by 20k and the mirrors, again OEM, shud be close to 7k. So total parts cost shud be 27k, plus labour charges up to 3k. The grand total 30k. Now there is a catch to this, these OEM parts are stocked in Bajaj's Pune facility, if it is available then your lucky. If not, then the parts have to be ordered from Thailand, which will take a minimum of 30-60 days to arrive.

Daaamn.. arent they manufacturing them locally yet? The 650f has some volume atleast.. Also are there any fairing kits available like they are in the US. Replace oem tairings with cheaper ones on delivery and keep the oem saved up for later.. heard these non oem ones are cheaper actually..
