    Good successful day , hard mounted the turbo. Much improved locations than stupid Yankees has been doing all this while. tomorrow some sensor trials , finishing up on turbo mounts.
    Oil pressure lines and return line yet to be designed .
    Than starts the most challenging aspect - the tuning!

      Blood is always a good omen for the project!
      I guess by 1 Jan we will have first start of India's Only Turbo HD.
      Big day coming up tomorrow , oil lines and custom exhaust to be done.
      Tig welding setup to be restarted after a long long break.

        This is how they hangs the turbo onto intake manifold in most of the west ! Almost all branded / non branded Turbos on HD get done this way - protruding on intake side .

        I explored some other options , there weren't many , however I was able to make just enough room rite above the front cylinder .
        Although I have spent countless hours trying DFMEA , I couldn't find many over an above the hanging turbo.
        So went ahead with this design.



        This way turbo is hidden well beneath the fuel tank.



        Extra plates visible out of fuel tank will get chopped off at later stage
        Few more days to go for first start!

          Finally completed custom 2-1 into Turbo exhaust.
          It was hell lot of more work than I had accounted for in planning .
          project running delayed by 1 day.

                First start , it was just to verify leaks in exhausts , intake , oil pressure , oil line leaks etc.

                Motorcycle threw a ton of Fault codes , like Loss of Idle control, high manifold pressure , loss of ckp control etc. Most have been resolved .
                Loss of Idle control was due to the intake manifold seal , which I installed in wrong orientation. Now resolved .

                Sill lot of work is pending , largely due to design of oil lines for turbo did not go through as planned before. Had to redesign the whole oil system . finally aftet 2 days working round the clock ,by evening it was completed.
                Lot of grinding and finishing still pending.

                    I could see some smoke at the end of the video what was that? Is the oil burning from somewhere?

                      Some engine oil was spilled while connecting turbo oil lines due to leak
                      , so it will burn off for a while.

                              So a small update , most of the hardware has been done and installed , started the efi tuning , already spent 2 days and 2 night and dint land anywhere. It's a tough nut to crack , as soon as boost comes on , high Map voltage error comes up and bike bogs down and ultimately shuts down.. At the same time while starting the bike there is ever present DTC code of Map voltage low/short.
