Hi Dushyant,
I read there is a 110+ hp Hammer kit for 883XL conversion to 1250. Are you planning for that now?

No bro , it needs 95octane and power comes very high in rpm band! Also it is almost twice as expensive as well.Originally posted by souravray View PostHi Dushyant,

Both basic (84bhp) and 110bhp kit have same kind of power till about 5k rpm.
Most people like me ride below 5000rpm only , plus 80+ bhp is enough for now.
Only planning to put on a small turbo on existing kit.

re: Dustom's Turbocharged Harley 1250

Did 186kph today. Best 0-100 time was 4.3sec, and trust me I had some difficulties keeping the front down on that run.
I did a few burnouts to get tyre ready for the launch, guess it was a bit too much for mrf!

Lost all tyre pressure suddenly on one of the run , by the time I slowed down and parked . this is what remained of rear tyre.

What warranty? Is it about engine upgrade?Originally posted by souravray View PostInterestingly HD voids warranty even if you get the upgrade through them. Sounds weird.

Yes, even If I upgrade my Superlow to 1200 through HD workshop, using HD parts, still they will void warranty on engine.Originally posted by dustom_99 View PostWhat warranty? Is it about engine upgrade?

Who told you that? In US upgrade is covered under warranty, in India till 2012 it was covered, but I guess the way they handle retune and recalibration after upgrade , it might have cooked a few engines.Originally posted by souravray View PostYes, even If I upgrade my Superlow to 1200 through HD workshop, using HD parts, still they will void warranty on engine.
Recently a guy got the upgrade and those asses sent him home with a 1200race kit running on 883 tune.
Poor guy had to get his engine opened 3 times in a month. Every time it would strip its cylinder studs.

Rev c 150/60 I guess.Originally posted by Shreeni0403 View PostWhat MRF were you using ? And tyre size ? Can really MRF hold up for such speeds ?
It was doing OK , I HV done high speeds many times, this time I guess I did too many burnouts I guess. Moreover tyre was already 8k km old
