Yup fueling is not even remotely right for boosted areas . that's why will take it to road and record data for correction to be madeOriginally posted by AashishS View PostWell done sir!

Re: Dustom's Turbocharged Harley 1250
Did first 40km on new system. Most of it went well except low map sensor voltage fault code on heavy deceleration and very slight oil leak from Turbo oil circuit.
I reset the fault code using ECU tuner and tried again. Heavy deceleration and fault code appears again.
Recorded the data and returned to study it.
Basically on heavy deceleration , Map sensor is seeing manifold pressure below 15kpa ,which is ECUs bottom threshold. So when engine is running 3000rpm and above and you suddenly close the throttle , there is huge vacuum and ECU isn't loving it.
So I will reprogramme the Idle control valve and use it to feed little bit of air to manifold even on fully closed throttle.
That way engine braking will go down a bit but hopefully ECU won't see abnormally low pressures.
Oil leak- well it can be fixed , not a big problem. Just takes time and elbow grease.
There was such a sweet Turbo whistle even when cruising at 60 kmph. Give it some gas and instantly there is that mad mad rush. The Turbo noise of rushing air and the whistle , coupled with smooth exhaust sound! It's biking Nirvana! Hopefully I will take her on a long long trip soon!

Re: Dustom's Turbocharged Harley 1250
Turbo Harley goes shopping!

Now I have tuned her enough that she behaves herself all around. So took her home yesterday night to meet my wify..she behaved like a nice lil princess. Then today took her shopping for celebrations. Soon she is gonna be a celebrity.
So the tune is reasonable , no way perfect , slowly I will keep collecting data and keep improving. Specially the timing part. Yesterday I took her to 10psi and had some knocking issues there. Also my injectors ran out of duty cycle. I was hitting 100% duty cycle at even as low as 4000rpm. So I don't know if knock was due to mixture suddenly going lean or maybe 10psi is all she will take. But surely bigger injectors are warranted because even at 6-7 psi I am operating them at very nearly at 90-95% duty cycle at 4500rpm.
But at least now she isn't shy to do daily chores. Oil leak has also been fixed.

Also made a small video clip which will be available on tube shortly!

What is the rough performance boost expected in %age?Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Re: Dustom's Turbocharged Harley 1250
Data suggests I did 80kmph- 120kmph in 2.2 secs @6psi.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostWhat is the rough performance boost expected in %age?
Also these injectors are 3.9gps which are enough for lot of 110bhp Hammer performance builds out there. I am running out of them at 4500rpm itself . although some of it is because of 12.5afr I am running under boost , but even if it was 13.5afr which most of Hammer performance builds do I will hardly touch 4800-4900rpm and run out of duty cycle.
So I guess it is doing around 110bhp @ 4500rpm.
Good part of a Turbo is that the torque won't taper off like an NA engine. Because this Turbo is capable of 20+psi , It will maintain 7-8psi at whatever rpm you can throw at him.
Roughly I can say 130-140bhp at the wheel @7000rpm is very reasonable and do able.
This motor came with 70nm of torque @4000rpm or something like that . i am already making in excess of 160nm pretty sure.

Re: Dustom's Turbocharged Harley 1250
She is under pressure ! Literally!
When boost hits you , she does 80-120 in 2.8seconds , and that in top gear @ 6psi!

Re: Dustom's Turbocharged Harley 1250
Here comes the data from data logger!

In these pics Time is in green in first graph!
75kmph at 144.015 and 127kmph at 147.170 seconds.
So time elapsed 3.1sec and speed gained 52kmph that too roll on in 4th gear when the motorcycle is already very near to 100kmph mark .

This is brilliant ! Fitting after market parts is something....but building something on your own is an achievement at a different level.
You are an inspiration to DIY guys and motor heads here.
Do post a 0-100 video once all is ready !
