re: Dustom's Turbocharged Harley 1250
Hello Dustom,
Need your urgent help.
I am getting an offer of a November 2014 Street 750 with accessories.
Can you tell me what all to look for in a used Street 750? This will be my first big bike so to say. Have been riding an Fz16 from the past 6 years.
Thanks and Regards,

re: Dustom's Turbocharged Harley 1250
Thanks anyways. I have dropped that offer. turned out the bike was an accidental case which the owner tried to hide and I got to know from the SVC.Originally posted by dustom_99 View PostBro I have absolutely no idea about Street 750! Not much help I could be of!

SVC said the bike was put in a ditch, and it was so hard that it cracked both the alloy wheels.Timon: Orange Yamaha FZ16 2009

re: Dustom's Turbocharged Harley 1250
This clearly shows the difference between the custom made air filter I was running in past , and stock air filter.
When using customs made Air cleaner I did a 202kph and touched over 7k rpm on a real road and now that I am back to stock , I did a 186 and rate of kph rise was pretty much flat-/Max it could hopefully go was 190 kph.
It's easily more than 7-10 HP at top end.
So now I know which AC to run in a race.
However this restrictive stock Ac gave the best ever 0-100 time ( sumthing around 4.4 sec +-.1 )
Another important point is I did not see any sudden rate of increase of engine temp even on a WOT run meaning no detonation and not overly aggressive timing. It rose pretty linearly and stayed below what stock HD goes to.
Stock sportsters in India hover around 200*c on a highway and 230*c in traffic conditions . Mine usually keeps itself between 165-175 in everyday life, and actually starts looking temp ( goes down as low as 160) when you are waiting in a jam or traffic light. Running a Summer special tune with extra rich bottom end.
Bikes tuned pretty well because o2 sensor out put voltage stayed very consistent through out the wot run! 1.18v corresponding to 13.8afr. So I have got my VE spot on .

Hi Dushyant,
Would like to know your thoughts about gronking the exhausts. Do you think if this would require remapping or would have any adverse effects.

Not much adverse effect if you keep air filter stock. But avoid doing so before 2-3k km.Originally posted by rahabclarke View PostHi Dushyant,

re: Dustom's Turbocharged Harley 1250
I recently switched my rear tyre to Michelin pilot sporty 140/60.
Did not get a chance to ride hard but here is initial experiences.
1. Bike instantly felt better handling, easier to flick and turn.
2. Did not lock up under braking, where my previous mrf used to.
So overall a better tire than mrf at almost same cost 3k.
Ohh wait and then I had to do to delhi for some work , and it was under a light drizzle. Wow , it was first major experience of aquaplaning. Bike would change direction from rear end just for no reason when the road was wet.
Every time I gave it gas in second and some time even in third , the rear tire wold do a cartoon film rear burnout for a second or two and the hook up to tarmac.
Found wet grip just terrible! Hope it improves a bit.

pilot sporty are comparable to MRF however still hard compound. next time move to michelin street radial and you will enjoy the grip and handling.
though expensive at 5500."A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel."

But I am planing to chop rear fender , make a custom swing arm and run a 225 or 195/45 (or 55) car tyre. My ticket to Dark side of biking! Also have made myself real nasty handle bars . no switches, no throttle no clutch on handle bars. Suicide clutch , foot throttle and switch panel below fuel tank. Suicide shifer . hopefully this winter will see some major changes.

All the revies of Pilot Sporty say the same thing that the wet grip is horrible on these tyres. Try the Pilot Street if you want to change them.Timon: Orange Yamaha FZ16 2009

re: Dustom's Turbocharged Harley 1250
Now no more motorcycle tire. Going to use Michelin eagle 195/55 or sum thing like that. Will try to run a ventilated disk and a big ass calliper from car as well. Rear brakes need more stopping power for sure nowOriginally posted by kinshuk.arya View PostAll the revies of Pilot Sporty say the same thing that the wet grip is horrible on these tyres.
