Guess, I need to host a switch it seems (now will search for that), since was riding 70% of the time in night in full beam. But even if the case these bikes are maunfactured in a way to have main light on always, wouldn't their R&D Team pre-factored such thing!

Re: Unassailable Psyche: Suzuki GSX-R 1000 L1
Congratulations . You have picked up the most comfortable litre class bike out there. You can do extended saddle time on this thing and still walk home with a straight back and comparatively less sore wrists. Great mid range and a few clicks on the suspension makes it a great track bike. Ride hard, ride safe.
As regards the issue you facing, it happens sometimes when the bike is ridden hard and the outside temp is high and the bike is constantly running hot. The battery tends to lose charge briefly. Nothing to worry about.Last edited by bigron; 01-15-2014, 04:58 PM.2011 Suzuki GSX1300R - Tiforce full titanium DUAL 380 MM, ECU editor Flashed , Unrestricted , custom Map, PCV, Steel Braided Lines , Supersprox F/R, Evotech keyless, Pazzos , FP Tactical , speed o healer , ebc Extreme Pro , Zero Gravity DB , BMC race a/f , Brembo Radial M/C , Galfer Wave rotors F/R , Brembo HP Calipers , Brembo Reservoir, Corbin Custom Seats f/r , Dual HIDs, custom paint and GPR V4 SS.

Thanks bigron, your ride is one of a kind, it might be only a handful in India to be juiced up to such an upstream level. As often the case, I have been a silent observer of your thread too.Originally posted by bigron View PostCongratulations . You have picked up the most comfortable litre class bike out there. Today I did not face that issue, maybe the same thing as you mentioned, experience is indeed the right teacher at times.
Harish, foremostly thanks. In the arena of superbikers, only handful uphold the beauty of simplicity, you have been very helpful and cause of you today I could get few quick things done. You owe me one.Originally posted by harish.krovvidi View PostI use a hella toggle
Quick things done today:
Got Swingarm spools, only rear set, front have ordered today:
CNC Shorty Lever:
Brake pads changed both front and rear, I was involved all time along with the mechanic, next time will do it myself, just need to have the tools. The one sourced were 3 mm lenghtier, then ran back, and took original OEM Tokico pad to match exactly, the brand is 'FizPower' Indonesian, the SKU differed by just a number, it is so hard to find a fit for various models K8, K9, L1 etc. unless you carry original fit sample along, just for ease a side by side pic of OEM Tokico and FIZPower

Re: Unassailable Psyche: Suzuki GSX-R 1000 L1
The Gixxer is returning a mileage of 12.5 kmpl average on over 600+ kms clocked with 70% done in highway high speed bashes, it surprises me as my previous GT650R used to give 14 max and at times 12 (only once it gave 17 kmpl when it was thoroughly checked/diagnosed by some guy who landed from Korea, when I escalated issues (not respect to mileage at all, but other things) to the Regional head, nevertheless sold it therafter).
Have upgraded riding gear on what I could possibly source quick, as shown below (posted in first post too, before anyone else also batter me!). Thought of getting the cramster track suit, but my size was an issue, good that I was direct in showroom, the 'L' size was not nudging up beyond my thigh area, as I have heavy thighs too. Hence bought 'Cramster Velocity 2' to zip in with the 'Breezer', two separate piece for time being and best part the pant can be zipped in with the jacket.
One thing I understood, that I must try and test myself before I get in with one piece suit, as my bulkier thighs and overall stature may have its own repurcussions, the Velocity 2 I bought was XXL, I felt XXXL to be better in fit but the knee cap protection was falling little down knee area, hence dropped XXXL.
BTW the track suit from Cramster has good finishing, I have seen up close a Dainese suit of one of my pal a year back, if I may recall it, outwardly the finish was upclose.
Helmet: HJC CL-16, this comes with additional Anti-fog visor attachment. SNELL and DOT certified. My choice to acquire later would be either a Shoei or Shark.
This pic is just before I left for the night ride.
And again thanks @harish.krovvidi, as I mentioned the rear brake area was smelling one time as I guess I was consisitently on rear brake pedal for quick bedding in, the stoppage power later increased and there was no burn smell too. However will re-check in next ride, if persistent will hit Aerolox/Aayan motors

Re: Unassailable Psyche: Suzuki GSX-R 1000 L1
Was in Pune got those from planetdsg, it was upward of 8k.Originally posted by harish.krovvidi View PostLike the axos, where did you get them and what was the pricing?
Well, tonight went for a ride, unfortunately had to return as low fuel indicator flash started blinking, the HJC helmet visor is crystal clear and on top subsides the glare from the oncoming beamer lights. Quality indeed comes with a price, and would say value for money, the fit, airflow system, pinlock all stand apart. The rear brake is much much better now, seems to have bed in.
Just loved every second of tonight's ride, with some quick speed bashes, I am so much in love with the Gixxer, my better half is annoyed but I cant help it, all time I am glued with it. Her patience is indeed the savior here! Its late but still feel like plonking on the ride and just ride endless...

A bit late but I would like to sincerely congratulate you for the GSXR. As an enthusiast, I can only imagine how orgasmic it would feel to own a SBK of your dreams.
If it isn't much to ask, do join us for rides though I must warn you, most bikes are puny in front of your mammoth; but yea Harish's BUSA can be gigantic at times.

Re: Unassailable Psyche: Suzuki GSX-R 1000 L1
One thing I observed during search of the superbike, many of the owners do not get the Transfer of Ownership done if 2nd hand, well it surprises me with the risk they carry towards any untoward incident or even an Insurance claim. When my curiosity evokes they respond by saying that ownership transfer reduces the resale value! WTH!
Well, I initiated the transfer of ownership the day I got the steed, unfortunate though when I received the smart card they spelled one alphabet in surname as 'M' instead of 'H', it upholds IFFCO Tokio zero depreciation, the endorsement to instate insurance transfer was not done cause of the silly alphabet issue which I only highlighted to them, but I got the bike inspected again, shot from all angles, Chassis number scribbled again. Paid another Rs. 2450 as 1st owner had NCB while I did not stand eligible so it was pro-rated for remaining period. The whole insurance costs 34k. Will be recieving a new re-printed RC Card coming week, hence did not ride much except a day in a week.
However though must share that I ripped its 1st gear to max RPM 13750 at 163 kmph and 200 kmph in 2nd gear at 13700 RPM, I do have the video but cant share for obvious reasons. Awaiting for the endorsement copy of Insurance transfer, will be riding long and hard then!
Next 22 or 23-Feb-14 would like to ride with other superbiker(s), PM if anyone interested.

Re: Unassailable Psyche: Suzuki GSX-R 1000 L1
Congrats man!! What a beauty. The Suzuki looks sweet in black.Originally posted by abhirajcb View PostI welcome the SUZUKI GSXR 1000 L1 to my family.
This embarks my journey to the true meaning of owning a 'Superbike'
Graduating from Ninja 250R to a GT650R and finally the GSXR 1000, the journey was inevitable, the horses were hoarded to await for the Triumph Daytona 675/675R, but it annihilated all the dreams with its price tag. It tattered my whole spirit, but I had to move on, the choice was clear, only a legal Yamaha R1 or Suzuki GSXR 1000, the hunt was on, spending days and nights in Olx, Quickr, superbike classified facebook group, Superbike Sale/Purchase & SBK Accessories facebook group etc. The Yamaha R1 was touted high on price even for a 2008 model (which actually was 9.5 lakhs ex-showroom for initial clearance stock), thanks to the current on-road prices of these beasts (last 15% additional CBU tax), all whom I met were demanding a premium for both R1 and GSXR.
All my years saving stand almost NULL now, the onsite Gulf project visits helped to save more doughs, and Special thanks to my wife, she envisioned my superbike dream and enduringly focused to save each penny from her job for my future procurement which stands as 'Present' today with a wide GRIN on my face as I jott this...
I really want to show the part in bold above to my wife, who doesn't waste time baring her teeth when I reveal my desire of a future 2nd bike(Read street triple/RC 390).
But may be not lest she opens here facebook page to show me her girlfriend's post saying ,"Moving into ma dream new house" or "Thanks sweet hubby for the romantic vacation to maldives" or "Meet the new member in our family- a brand new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga"
Btw did she actually save up from HER salary to help you buy the bike? Did I read that correct? Are you the luckiest guy on this planet? Does she ride? The hero always RIDES into the sunset!
