I do intend to do a few track days on the 675, so probably will get to do some crazy speeds.

ha ha. Not yet. Dont intend to either. Was pretty scary trying that on my R6 a few years ago on the street. Did 140 mph plus and it was a blur. Much wiser now.Originally posted by Ecstasy View Post

I'm assuming, you reside in US of A. So, that's the best option you have- 'Track'Originally posted by Carlitos View Post

Quoting an old post here. Not sure how I missed it. Anyway, you're totally right that Street Triple is a better bike for Indian roads. A look at Daytona's tyres makes me think if these can tolerate the Indian roads. One more important factor is the fuel requirement. Street Triple runs easily on 91 RON which is the standard fuel in India. Daytona, according to European manuals needs 95 RON which is available at a max of 50 outlets throughout the country. That's a big disadvantage. It might run on 91 RON but it'd hurt an owner's heart to put that fuel in a beauty like the D.Originally posted by Carlitos View PostI do hear it has been priced pretty high back home in India. Although I think the Street Triple would be a better bike for Indian roads. Much cheaper, upright riding position, pretty comfy pillion seat and more or less the same engine as the Daytona. Unless you put the two in a drag race, you wont see any difference.
All that said, call it a fetish or something, I never feel like investing in a naked, when a supersport(with 14400 RPM limiter) is available for 25% more

Re: Third Time Lucky : Triumph Daytone 675 Ownership Review
I am sucker for full fairing bikes as well. They look fast standing still. But after having owned a few, I can tell you, there is only a handful of times you will be hitting the rev limiter without being dangerously fast on public roads. Track is the safest place to exploit these bikes....and those naked bikes are no snails on tracks. I have started fancying a naked bike as well. There is something about a classic bike look that is wonderful to look at.Originally posted by pcgamer View PostQuoting an old post here. Not sure how I missed it. But yeah, I still went ahead and got a supersport
. Maybe once my back starts protesting, it will be time to change.
