Secondly pls don thank me for sharing, i myself have been party to so many travelogues, first impressions, workshops, rider experience etc over the years that I owed it to xbhp.

You are right, i cannot put those emotions in words. It was out of this world. All i remember now is i had ear to ear smile all the time.
If you are actually scared, then trust me you would be safe. As for putting your emotions in words, please do share your riding experiences uptil now. How many kms. have you done? How do you feel? What about the public response, at red lights, etc.?

Now this is really strange. The Euro/Aussie spec 08 R1 that we get here, is sold with Michelin Pilot Powers. Why does Sandesh's bike in the pics have Pirellis? Mine and almost every other legal R1 I've seen so far (close to 15 now) have PPs.

Sandesh, check up the VIN number on the frame and post up the manufacturing dates as well. I'm really curious now.

Congrats on the bike mate!!!! Treat the bike well. As u said respect the 180 ponies rearing under the tank. Do post ur experiences as much as possible on this thread. Looks like Akhil's company keeps growing by the day.

Those are in fact, Michelin Pilot Powers. Its pretty obvious in the pictures when you blow them up. The bike is manufactured in 12/07. The tyres are one of the things I have asked them for.

@ bladerunner : if its mfg date is 12/07 then i feel that yam is selling its leftover stock over here....

hey sandy, did you get any discount from them? someone (Bladerunner to be exact) in akhil's thread was saying that yam is offering a discount of 75k on the one....

They have never sold a '08 here. I went there on an official R1 myself and that is also manufactured in 9/07. The sales manager at the showroom didn't know this until I showed it to him.
