Anyway they have only Blue one's left here now. But my friend saw a Black one for sale in Delhi. Once they finish these R1's, they are going to stop selling them until September when they'll start with '09's.Originally posted by Aryan View PostWhy is every legal R1 buyer getting the black R1? Arre you are toh making fun of my povertyOriginally posted by BANDHAV View PostCongrats sandy.
I thought you were kidding when you said that you have only 2200 rs remaining in your account but now after seeing your helmet and complete absence of riding gear i am feeling you were dead serious..
Jokes apart, Congrats once again..
...
Thanks Rossiter..this is the magic of The One. Even after owning it for a year, you found my R1 good lookingOriginally posted by rossiter View PostHo.. looking good man
Congrats again.
And I think he's already getting good gear for himself. Go easy on him guys.

matter of Personal Choice Aryan..but still when you compare the two colors side by side, black one takes the cake. I had decided on Blue/White earlier. But then when i came home and checked the colors online called Yamaha and asked them to change the color to black.Originally posted by Aryan View PostWhy is every legal R1 buyer getting the black R1? But re-iterating again, it's a matter of personal choice.
Thanks buddy. Hope to ride together soon.Originally posted by manson View PostCongratulations Sandesh. Good to see the bike last night.

But, I wonder why did the battery lose charge even before the machine hit the road!
Brand new machine, that too a Japanese SBK no less and the battery needed to charged for 1.5 hours on the delivery date!?
Damn!
Anyhow, I hope everything is nice and smooth henceforth. Congratulations, once again for getting what has always been my personal dream machine!

These motorcycles are brought in and kept parked for a pretty long time before the whole process begins. Hence the battery kinda does die out...is natural.'08 Suzuki GSX-R 1000

Hey Congratz,
For one I am assuming it a 100% legal import??
Another tip... Use Speed 97 as much as you can.... the bike will run a little cooler and will not suffer from detonation and knocking, if you overheat sitting in traffic. Plus you are giving the engine what its designed for and not lame Speed -- which is just 91 Octane.
I have an Air-Cooled Ducati.... using Speed 97 makes it run about 15 deg-F cooler.
