      Hope this clears up the confusion. The first pic is a 2008 R1. Note the changes in the "R1" sticker styling, and the addition of the YCC-I sticker on the right rear panel, adjacent to the pillion seat.

      The lack of the YCC-I sticker on the legal R1s being sold here, led to a few grey market importers claiming the R1s being sold by Yamaha did not have YCC-I

          There's another way of telling that a bike is US spec. Their front turn signals are always on and start blinking when you actually give a left or right signal. This is also the case with Kens bike.

                    Congos for the purchase bro. I could keep staring at the bike for days......

                    Chalo, atleast I have approximately 1/6th of an R1! The rest will follow! And by gods grace I'll also post my experience on XBHP!

                    P.S.- Did you get any freebies (helmet, keychain, bike cleaning cloth..... )
