  • Red Blooded Hooligan . My 2014 Triumph Street Triple

th November, which was my birthday too

Initial Impression after riding 50 kms

    Pros:
1- The bike looks huge in person than in pictures
2- The engine is a gem , it has got sheer grunt in low rpms , perfect for city commuting
3- The bike handles like a dream , it moves exactly the way u want to
4- The suspension is set up pretty stiff from the factory
5- The bike weighs very less and so no fuss while parking the bike or moving from the parking lots
6- The whistling whine is to die for
7- Tires provide excellent grip and takes less time to get properly heated up
8- The braking seems to be good , will improve once the pads break in.
9- Lighting from the dual lamp assembly is very good and illuminates the road well
10- Seats are very plush and offers good comfort to pillion also , my pillion had no complaints from the seat
11- Engine heat is normal even in B2B traffic

    Cons:Accessories

Have installed Swing arm spools as of now in Anodized red shade from the dealer itself , the dealer has no stock of frame protectors and fork sliders,
I have got a Carbon Fibre Tank Pad from Bachoo Motors (Mumbai)
In addition, I have ordered Competition Werkes exhaust
    Moreover, I will be ordering
R&G Frame sliders and fork protectors soon

    Riding Gear

    1- SOL SL 68 SII ( hornet)
    2- Rjays Swift Textile Jacket
    3- Rjays Canyon Leather gloves
Will be upgrading to better riding gear soon and will purchase pants and riding boots too

    Here are some pics
    Hope u all like it

Congratulations on your new toy. I had almost decided to buy this bike but was stolen by z800, ive now clocked 500km in a week as it is addictive. I went back to to triumph showroom as they are my friends. I sat on the S triple ! It felt smaller and lighter and i think youve made a good choice and cannot be wrong with either.

the bike feels small compared to z800 and doesn't feel heavy at all and its damn easy to maneuver in the city
i cant comment much on the z800 because i haven't ridden it

rode the bike for another 50kms today , the gears seem to engage with huge THUD noise even if i blip the throttle during up-shift's or downshift's
