Personal attack because the 'friggin 200bhp' ego with a keyboard is hurt ?

I ask the reason behind finding the GSXR low on power as well as link you to the H2 and I get this and also get called names !
The irony is so massive it would smash Hercules to the ground !

          Re: Which superbike?

Ok one more thread on which sbk to buy without even knowing what is actually the requirements of the ts or is it just a show off thingy.

KTM RC8 : KTM was selling the show bikes with no warranty for the owners, still want to buy, contact KTM.
R1 : 200 bhp, and how would you guess that 200 bhp and 188 bhp is different. Is it a Yamaha fan boy talking here?
Fireblade : If you have read the reviews, which I am assuming you missed, this is one of the best available if one is not tack focused and more into leisurely weekend rides.

Now coming to "(Because no other choice, really)" : People have mentioned what all is available alongwith options in other cc segment too. Or again I am assuming you had no idea that there are any other bikes in the market apart from the above mentioned?

H2 : Are you serious that you had no idea that its available?? Its like a so called cricket fan doesnt know who is Sachin.

If I know right 5 H2 have been given to each country and ours have already been sold to respective owners.

Last but not the least, you just came here and started a thread mentioning you want xyz bikes without even mentioning what you would use it for? Do you think that we are good in reading minds.

P.S : Now I know you are good in keyboard wars, and you can go ahead with that.

            In descending order of preference:-
            1.KTM RC8 (Style,exclusivity)
            2.Yamaha R1 (200bhp baby!)
3.Honda Fireblade (Because no other choice, really)
Not planning for the GSXR because I really don't like the looks and styling.

My question is,is the RC8 available in India as of now? Or is it going to be available in India anytime soon?
            Please veterans give some inputs.
A little more detail about you would help.
            What is your budget?
            What have ridden before?
What is the primary reason for buying an SBK?

RC is not available in India , officially. Yamaha R1 is not the only bike with 200 BHP.
Infact, I remember watching a video sometime back (I will share here if I can find it), the 2015 R1 got creamed by the S1000RR and the Panigale.
Not sure why they didnt include the ZX10R, but with an H2, the results would be even worse for the R1.

              Re: Which superbike?

Are you a rider or a poser? You come across as the latter because you more interested in looking for affirmation rather than suggestions.

I can understand that a product is shortlisted because of its looks but looks being the sole criteria when it comes to superbikes is just plain immature. Also we understand you are enamored by the 200 bhp club. But let me make this very clear when it comes to a superbike with over 150 hp your skills will most likely run out far before the bike reaches its potential.

So think about what you looking for. Read about the possible models . speak to people who own them. Try riding a few models if your friends have them. And then decide what works best for you.

Alternatively, no one is stopping you from entering any showroom with a bag of cash and ride out on a death machine. The pleasure of living in India.

I am joining this thread too. After a failed attempt at the 2014 R1, I might (there is a small chance) get myself a superbike in mid or late 2016. My priorities are:
                    Engine capacity:998cc-1340cc
Needs: Will be used in city as daily ride and also as highway ride
                    Shortlisted the ZX10R

I somehow don't like the Triumphs after the Detuna fiasco. Also I am not in love with naked bikes, z1000 being the exception. Am a huge fan of faired bikes.

Since you say a 1000cc daily city ride, I suggest the Ninja 1000. The character is perfect for city rides as well as long distance touring. Very comfortable too with the seating and easy power mode switch means you are not banging into rest of the traffic. Not quite death bhp figures though but much more than you will ever need.

@ speedy ~ Mid to late 2016 is still far away to discuss about a prospective purchase. However I always enjoy such animated discussions. My question is why limit yourself to 1340cc. Why not include the 1441 cc also ?
Anyhow, try taking a few liter class bikes out for a spin and see which one appeals to you most. You have alot of options from the comfortable ninja 1000 to the fairly extreme 10r.

Out of sheer drooling instinct i would suggest the Fireblade and the ZX-10R, the 10R is just crazily menacing in lokos. The R1 is kind of a love it hate it situation, one day it looks cool next day it doesn't.

Practicality, I have heard the Fireblade is the easiest to live with, but hey don't take my word for it. Get in touch with some SBK owners and start a chat. You can find many from this section itself.
