The R1 is a very love it or hate it choice.
The blade is the ideal beginner litre bike. Can get a little boring like a year or so down the line. Less than 170BHP. Oldest bike in the list.

Other suggestions
Aprilia RSV4 (Has won Litre bike of the year 3 times in a row) (awesome soundtrack)
ZX10R Best Japanese bike, before the updated R1 came. Controversial looks.
MV Agusta F4 There is a guy who imports these. The most exotic italian bike out there.

BMW S1000RR Horribly overpriced
Panigale = 32 L = too expensive
Am interested in buying the mv Augusta F4 but what's the price

Comparing to other European brands like BMW, Ducati, Aprilia. Be assured that the prices of F4 will be anything between 22-28L or could be a bit more

@big ron - Sir, can the busa do some offloading/bad roads, or will the rims break if you hit a pothole at speed?

leech - I have taken my bike to a hill station called Manali. The roads were pot hole ridden and the bike was at lower than cruising speeds and it went without trouble. So yes, it will take some abuse but keep it mind entering a pothole at higher speeds will damage the rim along with other things.

Fireblade 178 BHP

So which is underpowered?

Also you are keyboard warrior who cant look beyond the 200 BHP stat on the brochure. No matter what your skills or uses are.
Absolutely true.

First of all, I believe that only those people should buy a superbike, who absolutely love them and respect their power, which I don't see the case here. My personal favourite is Yamaha R1, but I don't belittle fireblades or ZX-10rs or Ducatis by any means. They all are awesome machines with stunning power and brilliant engineering.

All the xbhp members are trying to help you with such a great enthusiasm and joy here. They all are happy to see another superbike in their community. Will they get any profit, whether you buy a Ducati or an R1 ? They are just happy to help you. Disrespecting them is not at all cool.

Adnan brother, you are so obsessed with 200 bhp figures, that you don't see anything beyond that. There is much more to superbiking than just bhp and torque figures. And with your attitude, a superbike in your hand is surely fatal. A superbike is not a posing vintage collection. Its a very powerful and vicious machine, and with your attitude, I hardly see any previous superbike experience, not even with middleweights like R6, ZX6r . I suggest you buy a KTM RC 390 or drag ported Yamaha RD 350 or a drag or fully ported RX first, and see, if you can tame those powers, then, practice on a 600cc machine and then, think of 200 HP monsters.
If you still want to be a poser, buy a Y2K MTT jet turbine superbike with power more than you can handle.

That's a great choice mate. Heard they are revising the electronics and many other aspects to stay with other new model litre class bikes out there.

inquiring about both for the time being. Its wiser to wait for the 2016 model, as Kawa is planning to upgrade,to be in the rank holders of the litre class category. I was supposed to be putting down the papers to HDFC today for the 10R.
