      Re: Which superbike?

Ok. Since even I would own a SBK in another year or so, am willing to join in here. As per my knowledge and little experience am penning down my opinion. For our requirements, road conditions and traffic actually am finding the D390 itself quite handful. Am yet to belt all the 44 horses between my legs. But there are more experienced and skillful riders out there who find D390 puny to try their set of expertise on and also some are aspirational for SBKs just for its sheer poser value.
For all practical purposes the below mentioned SBKs are more than enough :
      Bandit
      Z1000
      Fz1
      Gsxr 1000
      Honda cb 1000
      Ninja 1000
      Fireblade
      Strt triple
      Daytona
      TnT 899
      Ninja 650
      Z800.
If ever if I have to put down my greens for an SBK, it will definitely be for one from the above.
But if you are biased towards the poser value, then:
      Panigale
      Bmw 1000r twins
      Rc8
      Zx10r
      Zx14r
      Ninja h2
      Aprilias
      Mv agusta
      HD superglides, cvo
      Vfr, the list goes on.
Ultimately it's your bag of cash, your choice. To harness the full potential of an SBK you need not be Marquez or a Rossi but you need to be quite close at least and if you were then you would be at least a GP3 amateur. So do not worry about 200 horses, if someone asks just tell them that you have tied a few back at the farm We all know why we buy Sbks, so let it be, ride hard n ride safe.

      Cheers

There are select showrooms in India which offer proper SBK services.
It is not so hard to find really, all you have to do is search properly.

There are also independent mechanic shops which take up superbike servicing, you could also get it done from there.

            Cheers

Please tell me that you are joking.
Tbe service is done in the same way as other high end bikes and if there is no svc nearby they do send the guy at home. For more info contact your nearest Honda showroom.
              P. S : If I know right, the site does mention the dealers too.

                    Re: Which superbike?

The Fat Gixxer got all the wrong publicity early on in its life here in India because morons with more lead in their brains than a 1000 packets of maggi walked into showrooms with cash , bought one and crashed them all over the place.
I have always believed that owning a superbike is a journey. You just dont go buy the highest capacity bike your wallet permits. That will kill you.
A superbike will most likely outlive you here in India considering how much the so called bikers ride them. Even the Gen 1 hayabusa that stopped production in 2007 is a very lethal machine still that is more bike than 99% of the riders can handle.
Read, listen, talk and if possible ride. You will enjoy your purchase for a long long time.

And I believe that the fact that the Gixxer has always been such a gorgeous looking bike, also makes it a hit among the posers.

                          Re: Which superbike?

                          Adnan Here are my choices

                          APRILIA RSV4 R
                          BMW K1300R
                          BMW S1000R
                          Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R
                          Honda CBR 1000RR
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R (Yet to be launched officially)

                          Suzuki GSXR1000

You have to decide which one is comfortable for you .

                          Good luck.

I personally think the zx10r ticks all the boxes for me. The Busa is the second contender, considering it is slightly less expensive and a bit more bulky.
Can the zx10r and Busa run on standard fuel or Speed, in case I don't find 97 anywhere?

They will run on regular fuel. Though I would not advice it. The engine would run a little rough and more audible with increased vibes.
At least cycling through regular and 97 is recommended.
